About Me

I work from home part-time so I am able to cook almost every evening. Every once in a while I have "chef's block" and allrecipes.com usually comes to the rescue. Great variety and most importantly everyone usually likes the dish!

My favorite things to cook
Love cooking and eating food from the Caribbean region. I also love Indian food but don't cook much since I'm the only one who eats it. I am assimilating my 3 year old though. :)

My favorite family cooking traditions
Having my daughters "help" me cook. Right now it is only with baking since it's easy for them to add things to the mixer.

My cooking triumphs
A 3 tier wedding cake that I baked and decorated from scratch.

My cooking tragedies
The first time I made Trinidad black cake with too much rum. The first several times I tried gluten free baking.
