Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2013
These are delicious! I substituted coconut oil instead of vegetable oil to make them non-GMO and they turned out delicious. We put them in the freezer for 45 mins. as many people recommended, but it broke my cookie scoop! We just rolled the rest by hand. Great recipe!

Granny's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
This bread was very good, we can't stop eating it! I followed the recipe except I cut it in half (I only had 2 bananas) and I did use half regular flour and half whole wheat flour. I also did add some choc. chips - YUM!

Mediterranean Medley Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2009
This was a fresh and delicious salad for using abundant August vegetables. I didn't have olives or feta on hand, but it was still really good. Thanks!

Lentil Bulgur Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
This was good, but maybe next time, I will try to add a can of diced tomatoes as another reviewer said. It was slightly dry to me, but my husband loved it, and he's picky, so that says a lot!

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
This rice was delicious. I had basmati rice on hand, so that's what I used. I made a little mistake and added the tomato sauce while the pan was too hot. I got splashed but it still turned out great! Thanks for the recipe!

Elegant Orzo with Wilted Spinach and Pine Nuts

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
I made this for dinner and thought it was a great recipe for summer. I was able to put it together without really measuring the ingredients, since you can eyeball what amount of each item looks like it will taste good to you. I did use only a small coating of olive oil for the pan. Thanks for the recipe!

The Old Boy's Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
I made this pie for my anniversary dinner with my husband and it was delectable! I did use 1/2 C of brown sugar in the topping as per other suggestions. I wasn't sure if I should serve it hot or cold, so I chose cold with vanilla ice cream. Yummy!

Cheesy Spinach Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2006
We all enjoyed this recipe. It tasted like spinach artichoke dip with pasta - It was very good. I did also sautee some onion and garlic instead of minced onion and used shell pasta instead of spaghetti. Will make again.

Spinach and Rice (Spanakorizo)

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2006
My husband and I loved this recipe! I used a can of vegetable broth for some of the water for extra flavor. I also sprinkled some chopped scallions on the top, along with the feta and fresh lemon juice. Delicious!
