Creamy Mediterranean Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2013
This recipe was wonderful! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because we could not find the right cooking cream. 4 grocery stores later, we're wasting a lot of time and gas. So we found a garlic cooking cream by the same maker (Philly), and used that. It was delicious! ....... Therefore, we loved what we made, but I'd like to try it again the way the recipe says. Chop the onion really small so it doesn't create horrible dragon-breath. By the 2nd day, the flavors had mellowed and melded. Yum!

Grilled Chicken and Herbs

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2013
After awhile, I wonder if there's any "new" way to fix chicken that will be awesome. We tried this one, and all Hubby and I could do was talk around mouthfulls of chicken, saying stuff like, "OMG..." This was so good. So fast. No marinating for a couple hours (or overnight - which I rarely plan ahead that far). We were drooling as the chicken was grilling because it smelled that amazing. So either we are very easy people to please (possibly), or the recipe is really that great (it is). You really MUST TRY THIS! P.S. The nest is empty so with just the two of us, we used ye' ole' G-Foreman grill. Not worth heating up the outside grill for the 2 of us. Except that, knowing how good it is, I wish we'd done up several chickens, and saved extras.

Cathy's Amazing Fish Chowder

Reviewed: May 19, 2013
I loved it! Hubby thot the fish part sounded unappealing (he doesn't much like fish). So we basically broke it down into 2 small recipes. In mine we put the fish. In his we did not, leaving him with basically a potato soup. .... It was delicious! I'm quite fond of Mrs Dash (all the different flavors), so I sprinkled some on my chowder. But I did try it before doing that, and thot it was great that way, too. This is one we'll make again!

Mushroom and Swiss Chicken

This was wonderful. And easy. And hubby had seconds. Served it with a green salad and some wild rice. This will definitely be made again at our house.

Baked Shrimp with Feta and Tomato

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
I agree with many others that the sauce was runny. ... But the first time I make a recipe from this site, I do like to make it as it is written. Which I did. We served it over Orzo. And we just used a slotted spoon for dishing out the shrimp/feta/tomato bake. We loved it! ..... It is a recipe we will make many more times. We will probably tweak more to our family's tastes, but as written, it was delicious! Thank you for this one!

Italian Dressing Mix

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
I needed Italian dressing mix for a recipe, but did not have any on hand. I found this recipe. The problem is that the sodium is high. It can be greatly reduced by using garlic POWDER, celery FLAKES, and either skip the salt or use a salt substitute. I used those changes, and the result was very tasty. It is also great because you can customize this to taste.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

The whole family enjoyed these. We've done potatoes with oilive oil and rosemary, and wanted something different. Loved the slightly sweet to the potatoes. Very good!

Green Rice I

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
Wow - we loved this one. We did use broccoli instead of spinach, only because Hubby had been patient and eaten a fair amount of spinach of late. So to "give him a break", we used broccoli. We WILL make it again, and we WILL be using spinach! Yummy!

Cowboy Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
Made according to the recipe, except left out the jalapeno, and no one in our family likes them. Quite tasty. Just needed a fair amount of Mrs Dash to give it the "something" in taste that it needed. We're cutting down on salt, so the Mrs Dash is our answer. Like having multiple veggies. Was a fair amount of work, but we'd make it again.

Pork Chops with Onions and Apples

Reviewed: May 20, 2009
Oh. My. Goodness! If this was not "to die for", I dunno what it. I'd recommend making more topping, if you have space in your skillet. I made basically triple the topping and people would have eaten more if there had been more. The family RAVED about this recipe!

Mexican Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
Wonderful! The family ate it right up! I did use two boxes of corn muffin mix and it was "needed"... one would not be enough. But otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. Less work than doing up all the fixings for tacos, but all the taste, and the volume of food stretched further than just tacos would have. I will make this again!

Sparkling Oranges

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2009
If I could give 6 stars, I would! Every time I make this, people rave and want the recipe. I double the "marinade" so that it comes up to the top of the oranges in the bowl. Sugar is totally optional. I usually cut the segments into thirds or fourths, so it's more bite sized pieces. Serve COLD, and the word everyone uses is "refreshing"! Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe!!!

Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
Easy and so tasty! I've served this for several batches of company, and everyone wants the recipe. If in a hurry, I will zap the meatballs in the microwave before putting them into the crock pot, so the recipe takes less time. A family favorite now!

S'mores Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
Big hit with our family! We made it exactly as it says the first time. The next time we made it easier on ourselves and just put all the graham cracker crumbs on the bottom. Either way tastes wonderful (and is messy!). One way is just easier to do. Will be making this recipe many more times!

Quick and Easy Sauteed Spinach

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
Very yummy and easy! Followed the recipe exactly, just did it on the grill instead of the stove (since the grill was already fired up, and it was too hot to heat up the kitchen). Put the spinach in a big pan, and put it on the top rack of the grill. Definately use "real" parm cheese! Thank you!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2008
Like everyone else said > this is easily the moistest chicken we've ever had. I left the chicken breasts whole and grilled that way. (Just didn't have time to make kabobs, is all.) Will make this one again!
