About this Cook
My name is Megan. I'm 17 years old, and a senior at Bel Air High. I love to cook, and I'm one of those people that when I started reading and knowing measurments, I was good to go. I made my first meal when I was around 8 or 9. :)
My favorite things to cook
I don't know as if I really have a favorite thing to cook. My favorite meal to cook is dinner though. I love it when I present new recipes and meals that I learned to my parents.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't know if it really counts, but my favorite family tradition is a potato salad my mom and I make during the summer and family gatherings. It's an old family recipe.
My cooking triumphs
One of my cooking triumphs is when there was nothing in the house. My family and I were going to go out and eat, but I searched all over the internet, and finally found a recipe for potato soup and a casserole. I had to substitute different ingredients, and improvise a lot. It was one of the best meals I've ever made.
My cooking tragedies
There was one time, when I was about 12 or 13, and I wanted to make macaroni and cheese from scratch. I wasn't paying attention and put too much cheese and not enough water in the pot. It looked like a yellow, cheesy paste. I kept adding water and milk, and by the time I was done trying to make it right, it was a water and milk mixture with globs of cheese floating around. *winces remembering it*

Neptune's Favor
I made this dish for my family. Everyone raved over it. The only thing I didn't do was put in the mushrooms. I added another 1/4c of Swiss cheese on the top. It was really good.
