My grandmother would tell you that you should see light thru the cookie. I have made these for years. They are a wonderful holiday tradition. I have never met anyone who could eat just one. Fantastic!!

Seven Layer Salad

I remember this recipe from my childhood. I added sliced boiled eggs to the top and omited the cauliflower. It was a hit! It keeps for days so any leftovers get eaten too. If you're not a big onion fan, substitue fresh green onion or use 1/2 the onion called for.
