I added additional seasonings to the basic recipe, These included chopped green onions, worcestershire sauce, garlic powder,old bay seasoning,and some lemon juice. Topped off the crab cakes with melted butter before broiling for 10-12 minutes. To maximize the flavor and consistency of the lump crabmeat, I only added 1-2 teaspoons of bread crumbs. There was no need to turn the cakes while broiling.
