Busy Day Barbeque Brisket

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2013
This was over spiced, and not in a good way. It barely crossed the edible mark for us. Rating and reviewing so I'm sure not to make it again!

Brisket with BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2012
This might have been the best barbecue brisket I ever had. I'm so glad I thought to cut my piece of brisket in half because now I can make this again. It was fantastic. I rubbed the brisket with some barbecue rub and refrigerated it overnight. Then, I put it with all the ingredients listed and cooked it in the crockpot for seven hours. Sliced it and cooked for another 30 minutes. The whole family enjoyed this one! There wasn't a scrap left!

Grilled Lemon Chicken

Putting this on the make again list. It wasn't particularly special, but a delicious basic chicken recipe. Loved it.

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2011
Made this recipe almost exactly as written - added a red pepper and can of diced tomatoes. It was excellent. Not too spicy, so if you like hot, grab your tabasco sauce. If you just like a good, meaty chili, you won't be disappointed in this recipe.

These were excellent. I added some meat, sauce and mozzarella in the center. I would definitely make them again.

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
I love this soup! I've made it at least six times. I roast the squash for 20-25 minutes first and halve the cream cheese. I'm thinking it'll make a nice Thanksgiving day soup.

Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
This was tasty but very sweet. I think I'll either cut down the honey or eliminate the sugar next time I make it.

Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2009
I would absolutely make this again. It was fantastic. I stir-fried some vegetables (onion, carrot, red pepper, snow peas, mushrooms broccoli) and doubled the sauce. I also paired it with the Asian Coconut Rice recipe on this site. The combination was great.

Classic Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
This is a great, simple recipe. I did make some changes. I used half cheddar cheese and half parmesan and I added 1/2 cup skim milk. After a half hour I put on two slices of American cheese and let it brown. My whole family enjoyed it and asked that I make it again.

Outstanding! It's a recipe that looks great and tastes great too. I've made this five or six times and everyone loves it - there's never any left.

Captain Crunch Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
I had the Cap'n Crunch chicken at Planet Hollywood years ago and loved it. Something is definitely missing from this version. It was sweet and bland. Even the kids gave it a thumbs down.

Never Enough Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
This recipe was great! After reading some of the reviews I was nervous about adding the cheese but decided to go for it.I'm glad I did. I served this at Thanksgiving and everyone loved it. My family and friends unanimously said it was the best green bean casserole they ever had. A definite make again.

Awesome Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
This marinade lives up to it's name! I live in Peter Luger country and while everyone says that's the best, I find it too vinegar-y. This was absolutely perfect and I can't wait to make it again. I plan on wowing all our guests at our summer barbeques! I used a flank steak and let it marinate overnight. Then, I boiled the sauce and served it on the side. It was fantastic - very flavorful.

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2008
This recipe was very tasty. Like others, I used dijon mustard and let everything marinate over night. It is a definite "make again" recipe. The whole family enjoyed it and I plan to add it to our regular summer repertoire.

White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2007
What a sinker - in the trash can! We were really looking forward to this, being white chili fans, and it was awful. The cinnamon was over powering and was a complete disconnect with what could have been an okay recipe. Cinnamon aside, it was very bland and I'm certain one could find a better chili recipe than this one.
