Juicy Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2005
I didn't have any grapes and didn't seem to miss them. I cut up 2 small gala apples (skin on)and used a can of mandrian oranges. Chilled overnight for breakfast. The pineapple juice kept the bananas and apples from turning. Very juicy.

Peanut Butter, Mayonnaise, and Lettuce Sandwich

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2007
My absolute, most favorite sandwich. When I was in labor with my 19 year old, the doctor asked what the last thing I had eaten. Of course, it was peanut butter and mayonnaise. He replied that pregnant women eat the strangest things. My DH told him I ate it even when not pregnant. I think it grossed the doc out.

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2003
My picky family loved this chicken! I did do a little tweeking. Following some of the other suggestions, the spice measurements were cut in half and a can of chicken broth was added. I made four huge breasts and the four of us shared two. I use the chicken broth to make a gravy and cut up the left over pieces into it. We'll have that this week over rice. Thanks for a great recipe.

Lemon Pepper Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2006
Easy and yummy. Didn't use the onion powder, personal prefrence. I was going to try out Chicken Parmesan Pasta Toss from this site with the left overs, but there weren't any.

Italian Pasta Salad I

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2011
Wow, what an easy, delicious recipe. We all enjoyed the taste of the 2 dressings together. While the pasta was boiling, I prepared and mixed the remaining ingredients and let sit in the fridge. The ingredient amounts are easy to rememeber too. I did add about a cup of sliced black olives and want to add mini pepperoni next time. Thank you for a great recipe.

Broccoli Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2006
Yummy. Halved the recipe and it still made a lot. Used 1 can cream of mushroom, 16 oz broccoli, 1 boil in bag of rice and 8 oz of the cheese. I didn't have celery and didn't feel like chopping an onion but don't think they were missed. Served with Gina's Lemon Pepper Chicken. Nice meal.

Gina's Lemon Pepper Chicken

I've made this several times. Easy, quick and moist. Took an extra salt shaker and filled with the spices so I always have them on hand.

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2005
This was my first try at caramel corn and it was great. I made two batches because the first one seemed to "disappear". I used mixed nuts for the first batch and cashews and peanuts for the second.

Cocktail Meatballs I

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2005
Yummy and easy. I doubled the sauce and used bread crumbs instead of oats. Next time, I'll use less bread crumbs, I didn't take into consideration that bread crumbs are finer than oats. Kept them warm a crock pot.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2005
I've made this twice now. Both times I omitted the celery. Used chopped onions from the frozen veggie aisle and pre-cut, pre-cooked potatoes from the produce section. I also subbed chicken paste for bouillon and 1 cup half and half for part of the milk. The first time I used already diced ham. The taste was good, but the potatoes were larger than the ham pieces. The second time, I used a package of kielbasa(sp)sliced into pieces and then each slice halved. We all enjoyed this soup.

Wow! Quick, easy and yummy. I let my 7 year old be the "strainer shaker" I was a nice way to let him help without worrying about little fingers being burned

Mushroom Pork Chops

I was pressed for time last night after we got our Christmas tree. Made this recipe and had dinner on the table by the time the tree was in the house and in the stand.I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt. Served with rice, applesauce and peas. Yummy!

Cheater Pot Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2003
My kids and their friends loved this. Here are my changes. Vegetable spray instead of butter for the pie pan. For the chicken, one whole chicken breast, boiled and cut it into chunks. I used 1 can cream of potato and 1 can cream of chicken with roasted garlic soup. Petite cut, mixed frozen veggies. I made a very thin layer of buttery, layered biscuits on the top. Since there were plenty of biscuits left, I served them on the side. I will be making this again. Thanks for a tastey recipe.

Teriyaki Chicken

Use low sodium soy sauce and boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Wound up marinating for 3 days and then stir frying. Man, was it good. Not salty at all.

Best Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2006
I use butter instead of oil to brown the onion and rice. When we have tacos this is the recipe I use. Try stirring a little bit of browned hamburger into leftover rice for lunch the next day. Yum
