Polish Reuben Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
We've made this a few times and have enjoyed it. Bit salty.

Gravy Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
Only okay. Think I'd rather have actual gravy, rather than soup that is acting as gravy. But an easy dish!

Lava Lamps

Didn't let the jello shots warm up so the jello sank. But still tasty!

Canadian Won Tons

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
Time consuming but good. Fun to make, just the same. I baked them but they probably would have been better fried but I was trying to save calories (and more time.)

Stuffed Jalapenos III

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
Made these for a party and they were the most popular thing there! Very easy to make, just time-consuming. Used thick cut bacon, each slice cut in half for each half jalapeno. Didn't use whipped cream cheese but don't think it made a difference. USE GLOVES WHEN CUTTING THE JALAPENOS!! My hands burned for hours!

Coconut Macaroon Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
These weren't quite what I was wanting but they were still very good. Used sweetened coconut and it was still okay, just cut down the amount of condensed milk. Very thick brownies, even in a 13 x 9 pan. Also added almond slices.

Aloha Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
Doubled the sauce, could have tripled it. Halved the chicken and cubed it before cooking. Grilled the pineapple first on wooden skewers. Added red pepper flakes to sauce. Pretty good, sauce wasn't as spicy as I would have liked but still a good dish.

Flank Steak a la Willyboy

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
Pretty good, my boyfriend loved it. A little too sweet for my personal taste but I'm sure we'll make it again. Only marinated for about 10 hours and cooked for about 5 minutes each side, resting for about 10 minutes. Cooked to medium doneness.

Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
Great pudding recipe! I didn't bake the pie, following other reviews. Sliced the bananas and mixed them into the pudding. Topped with toasted coconut. I will use this base for other puddings. Very good!

Quite good base, added some Franks Red Hot sauce, chili powder, garlic powder and cayenne. Yum!

Smoky Mountain Chipotle Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
Took a home-made bbq sauce and added in the chipotle, the liquid smoke and the bourbon. Pretty good.

Buffalo Chicken Wing Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
This is awesome! I quadrupled the hot sauce (we like it SPICY!) and it was fantastic. Also added a can of corn. Gave the recipe to someone else already.

Hearty Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
Super easy but a bit bland (it is split pea however). I did add more spices to jazz it up and I probably only cooked it for about 3 hours. Don't skip the milk. I thought it didn't need but ended up adding anyway and it really made a difference in the texture.

Creamy Avocado-Ranch Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
Very good! I halved everything except the ranch packet and it was excellent! I took it to a party and received a lot of compliments.

Super Grilled Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
Used cab sauvignon instead of Shiraz (already opened) and didn't have lemon pepper so just used lemon juice and black pepper. Marinated for over 24 hours. It was good but a little sweet for my taste. When I make it again, I might try adding some balsamic vinegar.

Apple Walnut Salad with Cranberry Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
I used less onion in the dressing and had to use dried cranberries because I couldn't find fresh. Still fantastic!

Grilled Peanut Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2008
This was excellent! However after reading the other reviews, I did add water and more soy sauce to make the sauce thinner and easier to spread. I doubled the sauce recipe as well and I will use it for other items in the future!

Pumpkin Spiced and Iced Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2008
I used 1/2 c. brown sugar and 1/2 c. white sugar which I think led to a richer tasting cookie. Next time I will use all brown sugar. I also didn't care at all for the icing. It just seemed to have a funny flavor and was brownish in color and not very appealing. I actually didn't even put it on the second half of the cookies. Other than that, they were wonderful!

Barbeque Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
Excellent! We halved the chicken so we'd have more sauce (and used only a little bit of water in the sauce) and it was amazing! We agreed that it was one of the best things that we've made recently!!
