Magic Cookie Bars from EAGLE BRAND®

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
Just had the first bite of this. Yummy.. But extra rich.. So make sure you cut small pieces. I used 2 cups crackers, 1 extra tbsp butter, 1 cup of chocolate chips instead of too, and didn't use the whole can of condensed milk. The taste is great, yet very rich..

Eggplant Parmesan II

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
Very very delicious, far more delicious than Italian restaurants.. I did it with home made pasta sauce and it turned out great.. Totally agree with increasing the eggplant baking time to 10 mins each side.. Enjoy!

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2009
Very very strong flavor. I was looking for something similar to what we usually have in Asian restaurants, but the flavor came out very strong that we didn't eat it :(

Cottage Pudding - Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
Yum yum yum.. This is very delicious. Reduced sugar to 3/4 cup as recommended. Reduced apples to 2 large apples, and added some cinnamon on top of them. A definite keeper.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2008
A definite keeper. I'm not with letting the mixture marinate overnight though. I made it last night, tried some and it was great. When I prepared the rest today, it was more sour and the basil flavor kind of faded with the whole thing. Fast, delicious, and very grand. Thanks for sharing.

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2008
I've always had a different chocolate cake recipe that I was so satisfied with. For a change I decided to try this recipe, but deep inside I knew it wouldn't be as good as the one I make. I was definitely proven wrong. This is excellent. If you're craving for a real chocolate cake. This is the recipe for you..

Ladyfingers

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2007
Ok, I've read all the reviews before making these.. The taste is yummy! Can't wait to see how they'll behave in my tiramisu.. But they were really hard to handle.. I was hoping that they'll come out like any of the posted pictures, but unfortunately they didn't.. They spreaded in a very funny way (it was so funny for my husband but not me!!).. next time I'll try to increast the amount of flour a little bit in order to have a less runny batter.. Cuz i've tried freezing them for a few minutes but still the mixture was runny.. Whatsoever, i will never buy the 100-ingredients-very-hard-to-find ladyfingers from the store anymore!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2007
GREAT.. JUST GREAT.. I just craved for pancakes and picked this recipe as I found all its' ingredients on hand.. Exactly what I craved for.. Still, I think I would reduce the amount of baking powder a little bit next time because I tasted a hint of bitterness in it.. The first and only recipe I'm gonna keep for the future.. Ok I made these again today, and I decided to split the amount of baking powder by half, and add another tsp of baking soda to take out the bitterness that i tasted, and it worked. One more addition, I splited the flour half and half between white and wheat.. and they turned out AMAZING.. the only thing that they were really hard to handle while cooking.. But it's worth it..

LOVE IT.. My husband and I fell in love with this.. I replaced cilantro for parsley as I'm not a big fan of cilantro.. I also used 2 tbsp of olive oil and one tbsp vegatable oil.. Turned out GREAT.. A definite keeper..

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2007
Well I decided to do this one because of the great reviews.. Honestly I couldn't see the big deal about it.. Nothing special. Still there was nothing wrong.. I followed the tips mentioned by other people. All in all, I don't think I'm gonna do this again, simply because I've done better (recipes from this website).

Baked Tilapia

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2007
I think this recipe is not bad. There's nothing wrong with it, but nothing special either. I took the advice of others to reduce the amount of oil and butter. I sauted the onion and green pepper for two minutes before putting them on top of the tilapia. I don't think I'm gonna do it again.

Whole-Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 22, 2007
Yum yum yummmm.. I love this one, I tried it before with white wheat, but I found this one with whole wheat and it's even much better!! I followed the recipe as is, didn't use walnuts though, and reduced the amount of butter (or margarine) a little bit, probably by one tbsp. Next time I'll use 1 cup and a 1/2 of chocolate chips instead of two.. I strongly recommend and they came out exactly as I love them; crispy from outside and chewy from the inside..

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: May 18, 2007
May,13: I LOVE IT!! I just love it.. it looks, tastes, and smells great. I 100% agree with adding greased wax paper to the baking pan, and leaving good 2 inches between the rolls as they wonderfully increase in size. Next time I may increase the filling a little bit. The iceing is just right. I halved the quantities as it's only me and my husband. Still, I got eight big cinnamon rolls. My husband thought they are the best he has ever eaten anywhere else "by far". I'm sure I'm gonna try it again and probably make some little suggestions. May,30: Ok i've tried it today again, and after preparing all the ingredients I realized I only had one egg, so I did it only with one egg and it turned out just as great. You can never go wrong with this recipe.. I SIMPLY LOVE IT.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2007
Honestly, I couldn't see anything special in this recipe. I decided to do it based on the great ratings on it, but after doing it I couldn't see any reason why it got all these ratings. I was gonna give it one star, but I put two becuase the meat is really moist and tender. But the spice blend and the taste is no big deal AT ALL.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2007
WOW.. This is the BEST.. And guess what? I did it with whole wheat flour, and it turned out to be very moist and delicious.. I used oil in stead of butter, used 1/2 a cup of sugar, and 1/4 cup of honey in stead of 3/4 cup sugar.. I also added some cinnamon and nutmeg to the flour batter.. and some crushed walnuts too.. YUMMYYYY.. I strongly recommend...

Mimi's Giant Whole-Wheat Banana-Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2007
This was my first muffin recipe, and I don't think it was a great idea. Not that bad though, but mine turned out a little bit bitter, i'm not sure if it's the strawberries or not. If i'll do it next time, I sure will add more sugar to it.

Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2006
This is a good recipe, but sweet as others mentioned. Not too sweet but still sweet. I recommend covering the baking pan with foil paper before baking. Unless you wanna have a big black mess!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
Very good recipe. Totally agree with covering the baking pan before placing the chicken, or you'll have a big black mess. I will do it again, but will half-cook the chiken before baking it in the sause for better taste.
