About this Cook
I've been married about 11 years. Come from natural cooks, plus inherited some recipes from my dear husband's family, southern and Italian.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy making lasagna, soups, baked goods, candies, and veggie dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Lasagna, baked goods. We cook traditional turkey at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Making candies and cookies are also a huge part of our holiday celebrations.
My cooking triumphs
I have succeeded in using lower fat and lower calorie ingredients in a majority of dishes.
My cooking tragedies
I tend to overcook because I get distracted when I have to quit stirring for a while. The timer is my best friend.

Peach Cobbler IV
YUM! Easy with great flavor. My oops! turned out to be a good thing. When we were at the store and I saw the pie fillings, I said, "Should I make peach cobbler?" YES! Was the reply, along with someone else putting the peach pie filling in the cart. I didn't think anything about it, until I decided to look up a recipe (knew it was easy, just couldn't remember it). I stumbled on this one, and the last blech review, and made it anyway. The pie filling was GREAT! except for the fact that it didn't infuse the bread like canned peaches does. I think I could have added either all of the remainder of the pie filling or half a can or so of peaches with syrup. Regardless it, it was AWESOME! The bread was great, as is!

Busy Day Chicken
I'm going to try this one again, but the bunched up foil is not a good idea. The acids in the sauce will break down the aluminum, which is not good. If you're going to take the skin and fat chunks off, there is no need to raise the chicken. It just dries out.
