Belgian Molasses Bread

Loved your bread! Halved the recipe, and made the dough in my bread machine, then formed it and baked it as usual. I normally make my dough in the machine, but don't like the way it looks after it's cooked, but love having the machine do all the kneading!!

Sour Cream Banana Bread

Best I've tried, and believe me, I've tried a bunch!! I think the secret it the creaming of the two bananas with the sugar. Really infuses the flavor. Good going! Did not need to tweek this one.

Eggplant Bake

Ham Breakfast Braid

Love cresent rolls for breakfast stuff, but thinking it would be easier to put one roll in a pie pan, attatch second batch of cresents broad side down, fill, then bring pointed ends over filling and bake. Love the idea, but guess it wouldn't be called a braid then, huh?

Rosettes I

As a long time rosette maker, when the kids were little, I would give them small paintbrushes and make thin poiwdered sugar frosting in different colors, and let them paint the edges of the rosettes, [when you turn them upside down]. Sometimes they would just use thin white frosting, and while still wet, dip them in colored sprinkles. Very pretty!!!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Although I haven't made the Salsa, I did make the chips to finish off a Mexican dinner for 60. Served it with rainbow sherbert and it was a resounding success, as well as being SO simple and tasty! Thank you.

I can rate it five stars because of the feedback I received when I served this to 60+ hungry people. I adjusted the recipe to serve 48 people, and, yes, shredding 12 pounds of chicken was time consuming, but be assured the recipe will do well when adjusted for more than 8. A+ Cookiegirl

Crackle Top Molasses Cookies

I tripled the recipe as I cook for an assisted living home, and the residents could hardly wait until they came out of the oven!! Great recipe! I used 1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar, more cinnamon and less ginger and cloves, just because of my taste and the residents. Wish I could give more stars. Thanks so much.

Slow Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

Never cooked corned beef in a slow cooker before, and since I didn't have any beer, used beef broth as suggested. Turned out perfect. Used the cooking liquid to cook the potatoes, carrots and cabbage seperately after the beef was cooked. Great!

Orange Monkey Bread

Excellent recipe. I don't like to grate orange peel, so buy it in the store in the spice section. So much easier to use. For those of you who love the sticky sweetness of the original, you will be surprised how fresh this one tastes as well as being sweet.

I had never heard of Rugelach before, but after making it more times then I can count, this recipe is wonderful! The residents that I cook for that are diabetic, really appreciate how great the taste is. Thank you again.

Ground Beef Stroganoff

I've been making this recipe for more years than I'd care to admit to, and outside of the mayo, it's always served me well. I usually only use I.M.O. (a substitute for sour cream) rather than mayo and sour cream. Cookie

These were soooooo well received by the residents I cook for, and no idea that they were made with inexpensive white bread! However, I did cut back on the cinnamon by only using 2 Tbs. Will definately keep this one in my files. Thank you, Cookie

Pumpkin Puree

Although this seems simple enough, unfortunately, simplicity is not always the solution. After scraping out the flesh, you have to process the pulp in a food processer or a very good blender in order to achieve a smooth puree result. To make it right, it will take TIME. Cookie
