My family LOVED this recipe! I followed some of the other suggestions and used the Cream of Mushroom soup with garlic and still added the 1/2 tsp. garlic powder. We also double the amount of ham (cut into 1/4" cubes) and used 1-1/2 cups cheese. I cooked it on high for 5 hours. When putting it into the crockpot, it definitely helps to layer the potatoes, cheese/onion/ham mixture, and the soup as you do not want to stir this until the very end to prevent breaking up the potato slices.
I will definitely make this recipe again!!
