Killer Artichokes

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
very good basic recipe. I omit the butter and do one quick brush with olive oil, since we prefer a sour cream dill sauce over melted butter for dipping.

Sorry - didnt like this. I had to doctor this up big time to even be able to use this, which turned into a bluecheese dressing.

Fantastic. I love these but cannot bring myself to spend money on them in the store. But now I dont have to! 2 eggs made me about 35 small 'cookies'.

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
These were very good. I did change the bbq sauce a little, for our own taste: Chopped in 1/2 onion, added more hot sauce, and some mustard. My husband loved it.

Cheese Sauce Over Cauliflower

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2007
Fantasic. I made this for my husband, and he was afraid (he had never had a cheese sauce over veggies before!). But he LOVED it. I didnt pour it over a whole cooked cauliflower, just cooked bunches but I everything else was the same.

Bob's Blue Cheese Dressing

FANTASTIC. I made this with a wedge of iceburg, crumbled bacon, tomatoes and avacoado. My husband has asked for it everynight since! I did add more blue cheese, but that was just a personal pref.

Light fluffy and very easy. You do not taste the mayo @ all. My husband and I both loved them. It may have been my oven but it took about 18 minutes. Just fyi.

Beef Pot Pie III

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2007
Fantastic. I made the recipe without the pie shell, I made biscuits insead. But it would have been good with a pit shell too I am sure. My husband loved it. I did add some seasoning to the water for the beef, I think that helped with flavor, and I only used 2T of cornstarch for the gravy. (I started with 2T and held the 3rd out to see if I would need it - didnt!)It would have been way too thick with 3T as called for so I gave 4 stars.

This was a little too sweet for my taste as well as my husbands, however it was very simple to make, and I am sure most would be able to adjust to their taste or love it as is.

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2007
These were very good. I did half this way and half with a creole seasoning my DH likes just in case these didnt come out the way I expected. We ate them all. He says to keep doing this way since he likes both. Use a good balsamic and really let it reduce - it wont taste so vinegar-y like some felt. I am saving this to use again. Thanks!

Juicy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2007
I usually dont eat pork - it comes out SO DRY. But this was wonderful. I did change the soy sauce to half soy sauce and half worcesterchire. I also had less than half of a package dry onion soup mix that I tossed in the marinade. I did the marinade for 1 hour and I put my broiler on low and the pork on a lower rack, this way it cooked about 10 mins per side (i kept close watch) then put close to the heat for less than a min to get a little crisp on top. It was perfectly cooked. VERY moist, and I would do this again. (OH I also tossed in a pan for less than a min to brown on all sides)
