World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
This was an ok recipe. I followed the recipe exactly as written to give a fair review..First off this has WAY WAY WAY too much salt. So I would leave out that tbsp of salt. Other than that it is a good recipe, but my original is much better. I wont be using this one again..sorry.

Oat Applesauce Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
I was looking for a healthy and Yummy muffin. Sorry to say this was not it. These are very moist and tend to get more moist the longer they sit, kind of gross moist. My boyfriend who typically eats anything said these were "different" and ate only 1 of these. I ended up throwing them out. We found them to be very bland and taste "healthy" which is not what you want from a muffin. Ive tried much better recipes from this site for healthy muffins and will not be making this one again. Sorry.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
These cookies are very good, taste wise. Be aware that they are very dry. I found that past the second day, they arent very good. I used chunky peanut butter and found the taste to be very yummy though! I just wished they werent so dry! I will continue to make another recipe for chocolate chip cookies from this site as my favorite. sorry.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
I didnt think this was that good. I would recommend NOT adding any more salt to it. Following the reviews of others I added some bullion to it and it was WAY too salty. Even without the bullion I dont think this tastes like stroganoff. More like beef tips of some sort. I will be using my recipe for beef stroganoff on the stove from now on.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2007
I love banana bread and I ended up throwing this one out. It turned out very dry and bland. I followed the recipe exactly so it was not error on my part. It tasted weeks old right out of the oven. Sorry but this is the worst banana bread I have ever had, including the preboxed kind. If you want a moist and flavorful recipe try the banana loaf recipe on this site.

Blueberry Cream Cheese Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2007
We love these muffins. I make them several times a month! When I first made them I too was expecting the yummy creamy cheese middle that the title leads you to beleive will be there. But no these muffins use the cream chese as a cake, there isnt really a need to do all of the layer work you can swirl it or mix it in. However here is a little tip, if you are looking for the yummy creamy cheese middle skip the cream cheese directions from this reciped and use this: 1 tub of cheesecake filling cream cheese (the kind philadelphia has out) 1 tablespoon vanilla add either powdered sugar or regular sugar to taste. mix it all up and lay it out on saran wrap and form a long tube shape. Roll it up and freeze it until frozen solid. then when you make the muffins, fill the muffin cups 3/4 full with the batter and slice the frozen cream cheese mixture into little puck sizes and push them down into the middle of the batter. When you bake the mixture will give you that yummy cream cheese middle you were looking for... just dont eat them right out of the oven.. HOT!!

This was excellent! I followed the recipe, but I also added some baby portabella mushrooms and some baby onions in the variety of colors. I did season the meat as recommended by other reviewers before browning, It came out perfect and so flavorful. This is now one of my favorite recipes!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2007
I thought this turned out excellent and so did my boyfriend. Thanks to other reviewers though I did change the recipe a bit. I put the chicken on halves of onions and I stuffed it with an onion, 3 garlic cloves, and 3 chicken bullion cubes as well as 1/2 stick of butter. I also put cubes of butter under the skin to help the flavoring get into the chicken. The I seasoned the chicken with an adobo poultry seasoning packet, very liberally, due to the comments of it turning out bland. I have to say my chicken has soo much flavor we even ate the dark meat and that NEVER happens!! I thought it was a great recipe but since I had to tweak it I only gave it a 4. I will be making this at LEAST once a week we love it! Thank You! ***Update...since I obviously cant have that much butter all the time, I have changed the recipe to make it healthy. I have made this recipe at least once a week since I found it and this way taste just as good than the first way I made it. I still stuff the bird with 3 garlic gloves and and onion, maybe 1 bullion cube, to cut the salt. And I now use a marinated garlic flavored injection and I inject the bird liberally in legs, breast, and all over top and bottom. I found a marinade with little salt and 0 fat!! woohoo! I also sprinkle a little cajun seasoning on the skin. This gives it great flavor and keeps it moist no matter how long I have to cook it, sometimes 10 hours before I get home!

Southwestern Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2007
This was very good. Just like chili's egg rolls. However, I fried them as recommended and I had a problem with the outside burning before the inside was ready..:-( so I would recommend baking, and I also agree with a few other users about the flour tortillas being too thick. Next time I will try the egg roll wrappers and baking them! But over all excellent base recipe. Thank You!

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2007
This is sooo good! My boyfriend ate it on everything he could put it on! I followed the directions, except I added a bit more lime juice and a little more cilantro to get that bright bright green and I refridgerated it overnight and the whole next day until dinner ( highly recommend this!) it was tangy and spicy and yummy!!! I served it originally with the southwestern eggroll recipe which was also yummy! Thank you for this excellent recipe!
