My lil Man
About this Cook
I'm a stay at home mom to one and a dedicated army wife...I don't eat beef or pork but can make any recipe out there with a lil tweek here and there!
My favorite things to cook
Anything...I love a new challenge...absolutely love having someone to dinner and cooking their favorite meal better than their mother :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom, my sisters and I make Christmas dinner for our extended family of over 50! Sooo Fun!
My cooking triumphs
Almost everything I cook is a triumph, tee hee, but my husband and all his friends will tell you I can make a killer calzone with yummy lemon bars for dessert.
My cooking tragedies
I have attempted meatloaf for years and failed miserbly for years...until recently I made the best turkey loaf anyone has ever tasted...mmmm

Yogurt Chocolate Chip Cookies
yum! I excluded the shortening since I didn't have it, upped the vanilla to a TBS cause that's the spoon I had in my hand and YUMMMY! The texture to these are unbeatable! If you know the yogurt is in there, you can almost taste it, if no one tells...everyone stands around wondering what your secret is :)

Seven Spiced Shark Steaks
OH MY! This was a great "rub"...I wasn't prepared for how thick it was and we had to actually scrape it off before eating it..but it produced the GREATEST flavor EVER! I will not change a thing to the recipe, just make sure to scrape before serving :)

Chicken Tortilla Soup III
if you are looking for a low fat food..move on, if you are looking for a crowd pleaser listen up! I have been cooking this soup for years. The only difference is I either use a leftover carcass and boil the meat off the bones or a rotisserie chicken and pull the meat off and put in a plastic bag with the fajita seasoning...Start everything on the stove as stated, also add extra cumin, salsa and cilatro and have an EXTRA fajita seasoning packet in case the chicken sucks it all up in the beginning. Once you have all the ingridients in throw it in the crock for a couple hours on high or 4 hours on low...FANTASTIC!! Never forget the cheese and chips at the end! PS, don't let this one boil EVER! you will lose the flavor!
