About this Cook
Cooking is my creative outlet. I'm watching cooking shows on TV a lot more and finding the challenge fulfilling. I enjoy ethnic cooking the most. Greek, Italian, Asian, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Thai. I like flavorful foods and lots of variety. I've gotten very good with BBQ. My friends enjoy coming over for dinner parties. I share my love of cooking with my sweetheart who is equally as compelling in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
I like cooking meats the most. Grilling and smoking meats come out so tasty and tender. I do a good stir-fry. Most everything I cook has a sauce to accompany it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up eating more unhealthy foods. A lot of meat and potatoes. My folks used to fry foods a lot. Some of the more memorable meals were Sunday dinners with either roast beef, turkey or chicken. Sunday dinners were always worth staying home for.
My cooking triumphs
I've got grilling and smoking meats down pat. Using a thermometer and I never go wrong. Slow, moist smoking of meats is a very flavorful and tender way to cook them.
My cooking tragedies
I've had some crock pot disasters with pot roast. Not long enough cooking times, and surprisingly dry for being slow cooked in liquid. I need more experience baking. I've yet to try a souffle.

Breakfast Burritos with Green Salsa
I skipped the potatoes to reduce the carbs. Great remedy for a late night out. For more heat pass the hot sauce. I substituted flour tortillas and covered in a cheesy sauce.
