I think I'd like this with more filling, but it was very good.

Beer-Batter Onion Rings

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2006
This is fabulous, just the recipe I was looking for! I did end up using more beer than called for, like others, but I usually use the liquid called for as a guide, adjusting more or less as necessary. I thought this recipe was perfect just as is. I didn't change the seasonings at all. I froze most of the recipe, reheating them on a heat-safe cake rack in the oven. Not as good as freshly made, but still very yummy without all the mess. This recipe is terrific, and works great for just about any vegetable. You MUST try it!!!

Dill Cucumber Dip

I added a lot more dill than called for, at least a tablespoon. I also drained my cucmber for about half an hour before making the dip. This recipe is very good!

Garlic Cucumber Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
I found this dip, as written, to be just "alright". I added lots of salt and pepper (already part of the recipe) but also some dried, powdered mustard, worchestershire sauce, and also some seasoned salt. It was pretty good after that.

Big Cheeseburger Pizza

I thought this was pretty good. A few of my finiky kids didn't like it- but the others did. It's not something we make all the time, but it's really interesting for a change of pace. If you don't have thousand island dressing, mix up mayo, ketchup, a bit of sweet relish and a bit of chili sauce. Over all, this is yummy!

Creamy Chicken Rice and Veggie Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2006
When making this dish, I could tell on sight before I even began that there would not be enough liquid. I added 2 cups of water, and could have easily added some more. The flavor was great, and had the liquid ratio been accurate in the original I would have given it 5 stars. As it stands, though (as another reviewer has noted) the recipe need to be revised. I will be making this again, though adding 3 cups of water along with the milk.

Very very good. I didn't realize what a flat loaf this would make--oops!. Great though, and I'll make it again for sure.

Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2005
When I first made this dough, and hade nothing but a mass of crumbs that would not stick together, I was very doubtful. I decided that it might be like pie crust, and need time for the flour to hydrate, so I wrapped it in plastic and put it in the fridge for several hours. When it came out of the fridge it didn't look much better- but I worked it for only a few seconds, and it came together beautifully. When the cookies came out of the oven, I knew that these were the best sugar cookies I'd ever made- and promptly made another batch!

Vegetable Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2005
I thought it was okay, as did my guests. I think that my main problem is that I always think that I like curry better than I actually do! The dip was well balanced, and generally pleasant; I just thought I would like it better than I did.

Magic Cookie Bars from EAGLE BRAND®

My mom has made this for years, and now I make it for my little ones (minus coconut). It is an awesome "kid" cookie, but my husband likes to take it to work. They are a little gooey, and caramelly-sweet. I love these!

Cherries in the Snow Cake II

Overall, this was a good cake. My guests and I enjoyed it. It wasn't a show-stopper, but easy and pretty. I'll make it again, although only for a crowd, or with the recipe scaled down, as it doesn't keep very well.

Aimee's Quick Chicken

I've made this recipe several times. It is great exactly as is, but also with real bacon, or mozerrella cheese substituted. I'd suggest using a nice thick teriyaki sauce, and make sure to use a smallish pan to help prevent the sauce from burning as it cooks. Yummy! 4 1/2 stars!

This is great! I made it for a potluck, and made one small change- I layered the crust mixture/pudding/bananas parfait style in a great big glass bowl- beautiful, and super good!

Oriental Vinaigrette

This is a great recipe to start with- I made it as is liked it. I then made it adding 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds, 1/8 teaspoon minced garlic and 1/16 teaspoon grated ginger (I used about half of the 1/8 teaspoon measure) and liked it even better. Either way, it's a good recipe.
