Baked Ziti III

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
Oh wow. This was really good. One hour from start to table with a salad and garlic bread. My 6yo twins devoured it and my italian-food resistant husband actually said he'd like to have it again. Mixed the ziti with the sour cream (will go down to 1c next time), used 1.5 jars of sauce, and omitted the fresh basil. We'll get another two meals out of this too! It's easy, comforting, and very kid friendly. Thanks Verdieiiis!

Baked Bar-be-Que Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
This is excellent if you're looking for a quick, easy, and family-friendly baked chicken dish. We like the thin sliced bone/skinless breasts. I lined the baking dish (seriously, a genius idea) and sprinkled season salt, garlic powder, and pepper liberally on the chicken. Covered and baked for 30m. Uncovered and basted with the sauce for 15 min. Broiled for a few minutes more just to kind of glaze it up. The husband and kids cleaned their plates. It was perfect and hearty with some rice and a veggie side. Thanks so much for posting this!

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
Wonderful! Cut the butter by 1/2 but was still swimming in it. Unless you're serving over pasta or rice (and want sauce), seriously cut it by at least half or more. Next time I'll cut the butter down to 1/2 cup, sprinkle shrimp with Old Bay, add wine to sauce, sprinkle with breadcrumb/parm cheese mix, and will broil on a cookie sheet for the last 3 min to get a slightly more crispy texture. Super recipe as is though...thanks so much for posting!

Wonderful! To accomodate my family's taste I substituted in some green/red pepper and some diced honey ham. It was easy, filling, and very well received by 4 year olds. Thanks very much for the recipe!

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2010
Very good. I will decrease the salt and the amount of time the asparagus is in the oven next time just out of personal preference. Even my kids dug it as written so I have no complaints. Thank you very much.

Easy Stovetop Chicken Teriyaki in Orange Ginger Garlic Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2010
This was very good but I may have to fine tune it to our taste. I found the sauce to be too watery. I'm going to try more browning and less wine to try to get away from that boiled chicken look and feel. However, my kids LOVED it and any chicken that's not a nugget is a winner in my book. Thank you for the recipe!

Asian Shrimp Rice Bowl

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
Wonderful! We cut back on the ginger and I have no idea what chili paste is so we just used about a teaspoon of red pepper flake for some heat. Even my 4 year olds gobbled it up!

Seasoned Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2010
Wonderful! This was my first turkey burger attempt and they were enjoyed by all. I used Beefy Onion soup mix and cooked them up on the grill pan on med-low heat. Transfered them to a 350 oven covered in foil for about 15 min to finish them off. They were tasty and easy to prepare. I'm going to toss together another batch and freeze them for a quick dinner on crazy nights. Thanks very much for the recipe!

Cocktail Meatballs

Used frozen meatballs and just tossed them in the crockpot with a can of cranberry sauce, 2 bottles of chili sauce, some brown sugar and the lemon juice. Turned it up to high and they were done in 3 hours. It was so easy and very, very tasty. Low cost and very tasty. Thanks for the recipe!

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Great soup. Added egg noodles at the end so they wouldn't get mushy. Will make another double batch and freeze without the pasta. Thanks for the recipe!

Fantastic soup. Used chicken broth in lieu of beer and it turned out great (tried once with beer and it tasted off to me).
