The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
i guess to me peanut butter cookies are peanut butter cookies and i have never had a recipe that didnt turn out or werent good. these are just as good as every other recipe out there. so the only downside about these is you have to refrigerate the dough for a couple hours. great cookies! thanks!

Barbecued Beef

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
this was easy but i found the sauce to be boring. needs a little more zip to make it more interesting. i did add a spoonful of sweet restaurant slaw (also from this website) to the sandwich and that made it pretty tasty. but alone it was kina boring.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
great tasting and actually lasts for a few days. the coleslaw bag i buy is 14 oz., so just a little shy of what the recipe called for so i didnt add all the dressing mixture. i added enough to coat it with a tiny bit extra and that was too much. hard to explain, but next time i am going to coat it just until it's almost all covered and seems like theres not enough dressing on it - cos after it sits in the fridge for a while it becomes creamier. so less is more here. thanks for the great recipe!

Oreo® Cookie Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
my family loved this recipe! i am giving it only 4 stars because i thought it was pretty bland. i used chocolate pudding instead of vanilla. i cant believe it would be that good with vanilla - just my opinion. since there is so much whip cream in it and whip cream is kinda tasteless....i think that's why i found this recipe bland. but on the other hand, it is addictive - strange. the pudding layer is thin so next time i will probably try doubling that layer - either that or halving the cream cheese layer. very easy to make and definitely worth at least 1 try!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
very good recipe, but i do think it needs some changes to make it worth making again. it was pretty watery and i like mine more thick so next time i'm not going to add as much broth (maybe just half a can). changes: used chicken broth instead of covering with water, only used 1 can of biscuit dough (flattened and cut into strips then pushed down into the soup), put the biscuit dough in 90 minutes before serving, only used 3 chicken breasts (frozen), added spices to the chicken (lawreys, garlic powder, and a chicken seasoning - it was not overly salty but next time i would forego the lawreys), cooked for 5 hours. wasnt dry at all and even though it didnt look very good, i have to say it was tasty. thanks for the recipe!

Simple Country Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
these were very good, tasty, and not dry at all - but how could they be when spareribs have so much fat! i gave this only 4 stars because i'd make changes if i made this again...reserve some of the bbq sauce for basting, instead of adding water to cover the ribs add broth, apple juice, pineapple juice, or something besides water. because of the water it changes the sauce and even thickening it doesnt make it near as good as it originally was. i did have to bake this in the oven cos of the windstorm we continually have in MN - i put it in a roasting pan, covered it with bbq sauce, covered with the lid, and cooked it at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. another reason i gave it 4 stars is because i personally prefer the "barbeque ribs" recipe by SEEsign on this website. dont get me wrong, the ribs were still very good, just not the best. thanks for the recipe!

Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
this recipe was excellent! i did double the marinade, except for the cinnamon, let it marinade for well over 12 hours, and cooked it for 1 hr. in the oven at 350 degrees. i couldnt taste the cinnamon flavor at all - or at least it wasnt noticeable by any means. the tenderloin was very moist and went great with the ultimate twice baked potatoes on this site. thanks!!!

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
i made this exactly as stated and it was absolutely awesome! i am soooo glad i didnt change it according to all the other reviewers who said to use vanilla and banana pudding. it was wonderful exactly as written. i guess that's why you should always try it first as written. i used lowfat condensed milk, lite coolwhip, 1/3 fat cream cheese. for the milk i cant remember for sure, but i am betting i used skim milk. will make this alot from now on!! thanks for the recipe!

Baked Pineapple Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
followed the recipe exactly. i cooked it until the top was slightly browned - over 60 minutes. the casserole was pretty watery (probably with the pineapple juice) at the bottom and it just didnt go over well at our house. i did cover it with foil so i dont know if that contributed to it being loose. i can see how this would be a nice side dish with ham. but for us, probably wont make it again. thanks for the try!

Sugar Glazed Walnuts

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
make sure you stir this every minute to keep an eye on it. the first batch i mircowaved for 5 minutes and ruined it. it only took my micro. 4 minutes to cook it. the only thing i would change is maybe to roast the walnuts first in the oven to get rid of some of the raw nut taste, and then do this recipe. these are fantastic on a salad with green apples! thanks for the recipe!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
i gave this 4 stars just because i have another recipe that is much better, but this one is still great! i used shredded carrots and would suggest chopping them up into smaller pieces. instead of 1 1/4 cup vegetable oil, i used part oil and part applesauce. i didnt add any pecans. i think what made this recipe is actually the frosting, which makes it addictive. cake was moist and very good. thanks for the recipe!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
simple recipe and ingredients. i cooked 2 large, frozen chicken breasts for 5 hours on low and it was way too long. probably should have done 4 hours max. the chicken was pretty dry. i think it's a good idea to shred it and stick it back in the sauce for a half an hour before the end of cooking time. the sauce is very good on baked potatoes. thanks!

very easy and tasty recipe. seems like it could use just a tad bit more spice, so maybe a cup of pepperjack cheese would help. thanks for the recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
good and easy recipe. i had leftover chicken so just diced that and added it to the soup/dressing mixture. i just nuked that in the microwave and put it over some egg noodles. i was worried the italian dressing might not have a chance to meld it's flavor, but it tasted just fine. very creamy. i gave it four stars just because it didnt really wow me. thanks for the recipe!

Buttermilk Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
the buttermilk gives this salad a little zip, but i thought it was overall a pretty boring salad with just crushed pineapple. i would add some mandarin oranges and red grapes if i were to make it again. used peach jello. thanks for the recipe.

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
great recipe that i will definitely make again. i used 1/2 cup oil and 1/2 cup applesauce and 1 zucchini (which only gave me 1 cup). definitely dont need all the sugar. i would reduce that by half and it still should be great. also, i put it in 2 loaf pans. there were ALOT of blueberries in it so if you arent a huge fan, maybe decrease those. thanks so much for the recipe! my kids ate a whole loaf in one day!
