Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2012
to me, banana bread is basically banana bread - i love it no matter what. but if i have to compare this recipe to others on here, i'll give this one 4 stars. still a fine recipe though. thanks!

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2012
very good taste and extremely easy recipe. however, it is too unhealthy and very sweet...too much for me. also, it just didnt wow me, which is another reason for the 4 stars and not 5.

Amazing Italian Lemon Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2012
oh my gosh this was so good! the kids didnt like it by any means (7yrs and under), but hubby and i were thrilled. i only used 1/2 cup of butter and after it was melted, i continued to simmer and stir until the very end. i cut up the chicken (only needed 2 large chicken breasts), floured it, and added it to a pan of olive oil. took that out, and cooked the bacon and then added canned mushrooms for a few minutes and then the artichokes for a few minutes. I didnt add capers. while the bacon was cooking i started the pasta. after the bacon/mushroom /artichoke mix was done, i added the chicken to it along with half the sauce. after that was mixed together i added it to the pasta and then added the rest of the sauce. the sauce amount was perfect. served with a gewurtztraminer, which is what i used in the recipe too. delicious! thank you!!!

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2012
i doubled the recipe and used 1 cup white sugar and 1 cup brown sugar, and it was still sweet. also, i substituted applesauce for the oil. used 6 bananas (5 would have been fine too). very moist, flavorful bread, esp. with the brown sugar. next time i could use even less sugar and it would make me feel better about eating it! i also want to try 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp cinnamon just to see how it changes. but in reality, it doesnt need it. thanks for the recipe!

The Best Thai Coconut Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
i personally thought this was a good recipe, not great. i didnt care for the grated chunks of ginger. i would use the ground ginger next time, not fresh. i suggest making it with at least one can of lite cocunut milk or it is real heavy. thanks for the try!

Classic Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2012
followed recipe exactly. very moist and tasty! like most great tasting things, you could probably decrease the sugar by 1/2 cup and it'd still be good. thanks so much for the recipe!

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
i was really worried about this being too salty per other reviews, but it wasnt. great, easy dish!! it did seem a tad dry so maybe i'll try adding 1/2 cup fewer hash browns next time and see how that goes. thank you!

Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2011
I didnt care for this recipe and nobody in my family really did either. i used pillsbury grands homestyle biscuits and they seemed rubbery and not fluffy. Also, I couldnt get past the cream of celery smell - not for me. i added cooked carrots and celery and i think without them it would have been really boring.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
amazingly, my kids licked this up! i used 1/4 c. oil, almost 1 tbsp. rosemary, and i tsp. salt and marinaded 3 large chicken breasts (cut in chunks) for about 3 hours. only thing i would change is not adding salt - definitely didnt need it. thanks for the recipe!

Yummy Bok Choy Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2011
i probably shouldnt be rating this recipe since i changed it, but still the basics of it is excellent! great flavored dressing! i used just enough romaice lettuce and ramen noodles for 2 servings so nothing was leftover for fear of getting too soggy. addicting dressing! just remember, a little bit goes a long way though. thank you!

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2011
the only reason why i gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because i think it calls for way too much salt (and pepper for me). i would only add 2 tsp salt and maybe no pepper next time (due to personal preference - not a fan of pepper). i would be curious to see how it turns out if you cooked it in a beef broth instead of the water - or maybe 3/4 broth and the rest water. good, healthy recipe otherwise and easy to make. thanks!

Corn Dog Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2011
i didnt care for this recipe versus store-bought corndogs. my kids didnt eat much of it either. i did slice up the hot dogs and added them to the muffin mix - i personally thought 9 was way too much. probably could get by with 6 hot dogs and the sugar is not necessary at all. thanks for the try!

Crustless Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2011
tasted great, and i could see how it would be good cold too as appetizers. although, for me, i just didnt feel good eating such an unhealthy dish with all that cheese :) my kids passed on it too, which makes it hard for me to make again. very easy easy dish and very good too though. thanks!

absolutely delicious! i used 1/2 cup vegetable oil and 1/2 cup applesauce. could always use more than 2 cups of zucchini and i believe the recipe would still be fine. i used 1 cup of white sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar. i think i'll try decreasing the sugar by 1/2 cup next time. lovely recipe! thank you!

Chicken Scampi II

simple, good recipe. but for me, too boring. and none of my kids would eat it so that's kind of the clincher. i think we need more of a sauce on the noodles.

Cornbread Muffins I

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
great cornbread muffins!! one thing i will definitely change next time, is to decrease the sugar by 1/2 cup. they were pretty sweet. i did use whole milk though since that's all i had - it may have made them even sweeter. i can see how these would be great with chili. thanks for sharing the recipe!
