Crustless Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2007
What an easy and delicious quiche! Had to substitute broccoli for the spinach. Didn't have Muenster either, so I used 2 Cups shredded Cheddar and 1 Cup Mozzarella as per another reviewer. My hubby said it was 'GREAT!' after the first bite. And, yes, this could be the perfect base for other ingredients. Thank you Susan!!

Adrienne's Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: May 22, 2007
This was a really nice change from what my husband always wants: sliced cucumbers in water and chilled. He likes vinegar so I thought he'd enjoy these. YES!! They were GGRRR888! Made them exactly per your recipe. He loves them! Will make again and again for him, and me, too! Thanks Justin!

Amazing Ribs

Reviewed: May 27, 2007
Excellent Scotty!! I've always started my ribs by boiling and then baking at a low temp. But your way is much more tender and moister!! I have a new way of cooking ribs. Thanks!! And, by the way, when I opened the 2nd can of beer, I drank it myself!

Country Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2007
Thank you Kristin for a great morning casserole!! The only change I made was I used shredded hash browns for the topping as others suggested. My husband and I thought it was excellent. Leftovers were easily warmed in the microwave for 2 more days!! I think next time I might add some chopped broccoli. Thanks again!! UPDATE: I made this using the bread cubes drizzled with some melted butter and it was delicious this way, too.

Flip Flop Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2007
Thanks Donald for your recipe, this was very good. Took another's advice and used olive oil instead of butter. Also I marinated the chicken for 4 or 5 hours. I used Montreal steak seasoning and along with seasoned salt I thought it would be too much, but it wasn't at all. Very tasty. I don't care for 'spicy' foods. I grilled on low for a good 20 minutes basting quite a few times. My husband says this is a keeper!!

Dilly Crab Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2007
I added 2 12 oz packages of imitation crabmeat since it's only availabe in the larger size and we like the taste. Loved the ease of making this salad. Unfortunately I didn't have peas on hand but will make this again and add the peas. A nice quick salad. Thanks.

BUSH'S® Vegetarian Barbecued Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
I received this as my 'Daily Dish' via email last week. I thought it to be a very novel idea. We are NOT squash eaters but I decided to try it anyway. My husband thoroughly enjoyed it as did I. Beings it was so cold out I decided to use the oven to get a little heat in the house. Baked it at 350 for 1 hour as another reviewer suggested.

Oven Fried Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
We thoroughly enjoyed this chicken. I used 4 chicken breasts instead of pieces. It didn't stick to the pan, wasn't soggy, it was good! We don't fry anything so this was a really nice change. Thank you for the recipe! Update: We thoroughly enjoy this chicken and use different parts. It always comes out tender and moist. I double dipped many of these drums and still had lots of breadcrumbs left over to be thrown out.

Autumn Spice Ham Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
Gee, this was really good. Received this as my daily recipe via email last week. Made it as recipe said except I used Apple Cinnamon syrup by Mrs Butterworths. No maple syrup on hand. We didn't think it was too sweet at all. Really, really enjoyed it! Thank you for the recipe.

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2007
Was this ever good! I don't do cottage cheese so the only change I made was to replace that with Ricotta. It heated nicely as leftovers in the microwave. A delicious recipe!

Portobello Mushroom Stroganoff

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2007
We really enjoyed this recipe. As other reviewers said: add some worcestershire and soy. That I did. Other than that the recipe was followed exactly. It was very good. Others have said the sour cream was overpowering. We didn't think so. Will make again. Thanks!

Yummy Yam Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
Very good and so easy to make! I don't like yams either but the hubby does. I usually open a can and heat it up. I thought this Thanksgiving would be different. NO CANS! Along with Cranberry Sauce I (from this site) everything was delicious! I even ate some myself.

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
Not a cranberry eater but this good! And so easy to make! Who knew? I did as others suggested, though, and used 1/2 white, 1/2 brown sugars and a small amount of cinnamon. No more cans at holidays!

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
I truly enjoyed making stuffing this year. And a lot of it! We enjoyed it immensely. Not too soggy as others said. I didn't add all the broth at once but did use it all. It was a joy to have the oven freed up for other things. Thanks for the recipe!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I have to give this 5 stars! Easy and very moist! We all loved it. I followed the recipe exactly. More cooking time was needed, but that was it. Great recipe! Thanks! UPDATE: This has become a favorite of ours. I enjoy making muffins also, they're a great snack! Bake for 30 minutes.

Southwestern Turkey Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
We enjoyed this casserole. It was quite easy to put together. I did use about 3 cups of turkey and more cheese (didn't measure it). Instead of making strips with the corn tortillas, I just tore them into bite sized pieces and layered them. They tore very nicely. Will make again but probably will use chicken next time.

Turkey 'n' Stuffing Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
The presentation of this dish is fabulous! But, I thought it was too bland. It seemed to miss something. I made it as per the recipe. Probably would have been better if the gravy was made instead of using a jar gravy. My husband liked it. I did, too, but it needed a little of something.

One Bowl Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2007
Wow Melissa, THANKS! I gave up making fudge years ago. We live in the woods down in a hollow where it's usually humid. My fudge was always grainy. Even on hot sunny summer days it wouldn't come out right. I made this yesterday while it was snowing and it's the greatest! I'm surprised how creamy it was. Thanks again for a great recipe!
