The Best Doggy Biscuits!

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2011
I've been eyeing this recipe for a while. It's my big boy's birthday today (he's 12!) so today was the day. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this recipe! I can finally make decent looking biscuits! I totally left out the salt, it's NOT good for your dog. Other than that, I made this to the T and it worked really well! I didn't need to add any more flour or water. The birthday boy and his little brother and sister all love these biscuits. Thanks again for a super recipe for my pups!

Savory Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2011
These remind me of my mom's deviled eggs. She put paprika on top of hers, though, as do I. These were easy and tasty!

White Cake Frosting II

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2011
I'd actually like to give this only 4 stars because it does NOT frost a 2 layer cake. After I frosted the bottom layer I had to make an additional bowl of frosting. However, this is very easy to make and is very airy and light. It frosts really nicely. Just be sure to double the recipe if you're wanting to frost a whole cake.

Italian Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2011
I used chicken thighs and they were moist and tasty. I only marinated them for about 7 hours, though. Didn't catch the part about marinating overnight. They were still good! Didn't add salt. My husband asked for these again!

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2011
These are pretty tasty little guys. The first time I made them I failed miserably. Don't know why. However, my husband thought the nutmeg was a little too much, so, this time I only used a good 1/4 tsp. I also used butter instead of margarine. I did, however, find that the tinier the muffin tin the nicer they bake up. And, they don't get quite as crunchy as the 'larger' mini tin. The smaller one seemed to brown much nicer for some reason.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2011
We really enjoyed the 'sweetness' of this coleslaw. A real ease to put together when buying the package of grated cabbage and carrots.

Greek Garbanzo Bean Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2011
This was a great, tasty and easy to put together salad. I subbed grape tomatoes for the cherry since I have an abundance of them in the garden. I also doubled up on the feta. This will be a favorite for the summer! Thanks for posting.

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
Fall off the bone tender and moist, too! No knife is needed with these. The meat really does come right off the bone. I did put them under the broiler for a few minutes to darken them up a bit. Be sure to use a sauce that you like!

Cheesy Vegetable Soup I

Reviewed: May 27, 2011
I had some pea, corn, bean and carrot veggies to use up and used them here. I think a stick of margarine (I used butter) was too much. 1/4 Cup would have been plenty. Was easy enough and quick enough to make. Thanks for posting.

Oven Scrambled Eggs

Reviewed: May 19, 2011
FLUFFY! I'm terrible at making scrambled eggs! Now, I can be good at it! I was skeptical at first always being told to use water when making scrambled eggs. But, these were delicious! I did halve this and used an 8x8 dish. I can't beleive how fluffy they were. I did stir these 3 times. Thanks for a great recipe!

Chunky Seafood Chowder

Reviewed: May 18, 2011
My husband wanted some seafood chowder and this looked like it would hit the spot. I had some imitation crab that I needed to use up. I pretty much followed the recipe except I only had 2 C of Half and Half. Another reviewer said she used half that and half milk and it was still plenty thick. I would've liked it better if it were thicker. It was more soupy; which was alright, but I thought it should've been thicker. I also used 2 packs of imitation crab and glad that I did. It made for a nice chunky chowder. My husband thoroughly enjoyed it! Will make this one again! Thanks for posting.

Fried Egg Sandwich

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
I LOVE fried egg sandwiches! I've made them for years. However, I've never had one with ketchup on it. I think I prefer mayo only, but, that is only a personal preference and I wouldn't give this lower stars because of it.

Grandmother's Pound Cake II

Reviewed: May 15, 2011
Having never made pound cake before I pretty much impressed myself! I did cut the recipe in half but next time I'll plan to go ahead and make the 3 loaves! Only change I made was to grease and flour my loaf pan and did not use parchment paper. The loaf fell out easily once I ran a knife around it and let it sit for a little bit. Surprised at how moist it was. Will HAVE to do this again!

Cheesy Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: May 13, 2011
Excellent! My husband wanted a soup that would be filling. I figured this would be a good one. This was very easy and tasty! The only thing I changed was to use 1 can of cream of celery along with the cream of mushroom. I made no other changes. And, there's plenty! Also, it tastes better the next day! Thanks Sandra for the recipe! UPDATE: This, too, is seriously good when it's cold, straight out of the fridge!

Cheeseburger and Fries Casserole

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
I made this per recipe except I baked the fries for about 10 minutes. I didn't want 'soggy' french fries. They came out very good in the end. I think next time I'll add some Worcestershire when cooking the hamburg and onions.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
There seems to be lots of mixed reviews on this, but, my husband LOVED it! I enjoyed it, too. It was super easy to make. First, I sprayed my crockpot before adding the breasts. I did, however, start off with frozen breasts and cubed them a couple hours later. I was afraid to not add any liquid until the end so I poured the soup over the chicken in the beginning and sprinkled the salad dressing mix over that. I also used cream of celery since I'm not a fan of cream of chicken. I, too, served this over egg noodles. Yes, my husband wants this again soon. Thanks for sharing!

Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
Not caring for fried foods I baked this at 375 for 30 minutes. Didn't change anything else and we really enjoyed it. Will have the other 2 breasts as leftovers tonight. This is so simple and easy and will surely do this again.
