Cheddar Biscuit Cups

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
Very easy to put together. I had to use the substitute for self-rising flour. The taste was quite good but for some reason they were quite crunchy. Not at all what I was expecting and I'm not sure why they were. I'll try them again some time.

Ziti Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
We really enjoyed this. I used all the same ingredients but doubled some of them like the ground beef and tomato sauce. I used a medium green pepper and a 15 oz container ricotta. Now we had some leftovers for the next evening. They reheated great in the nuker and tasted delicious! Thanks Dorothea! Will make again.

Veggie Pizza

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
I've been making something similar to this for years. Never thought of putting radishes on it, that was great! Too much of a hurry to grate carrots or chop a red pepper so didn't add those. Was still good and enjoyed by all!

Pumpkin Spiced and Iced Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
Everyone loved these cookies! Nice and soft, not crunchy. Didn't change anything except I made Pumpkin Pie Spice II from this site and used that. Cookies don't spread much at all so you can get quite a few on your cookie sheet. A great fall cookie!

Horseshoe

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
Each of us having only one 'sandwich' each was totally filling! Two is too much for one person. These were good, though. The sauce, I thought, was very light and fluffy. Was very good.

1-Dish Pepperoni Cheese Pizza Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2008
Wow, I truly impressed myself! Yeast and I are NOT good friends. This was soooo easy and it turned out very good. We're not big fans of thick crust on pizza, but that's only our opinion. Will definitely do this one again. The only change I made was to add mushrooms. Thanks for the post!!

Slow Cooker Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
We don't care for cottage cheese so I subbed non-fat ricotta and I also used my own sauce. After reading reviews and seeing quite a few of them said it burnt I decided to let it cook for only 6 hours. This is the FIRST time my crockpot has burnt anything! Just the bottom turned slightly black. Will adjust the cooking time next time to no more than 5 hours. A lot of times we have a really busy schedule and cooking a traditional meal is sometimes hard. Slow cooking is a big help for us. Will make this again but with a few changes.

Easy Cream Cheese Danish

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2008
This was delicious!! I lowered the sugar to 1/2 cup per other reviews. Also, reading reviews I was torn into only using 1 package of cream cheese versus the 2 that it called for. So I split the difference and used 1-1/2 pkgs. I don't think there's any problem at all in using the 2. I also spread some raspberry preserves on it. Yum!! Be sure to pinch/seal all the seams together after putting the top on. Any slight cracks and the filling will ooze out. AND the prep time is much more than 10 minutes. Will make this again. Thanks Natalie!

Very good! I've never thought of putting BBQ sauce on my hot dog but it was really good! I didn't have Swiss so I had to sub with American.

Crab and Pea Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
This was soooo good! And it's so easy and quick to put together. I didn't change a thing. When my hubby got home he found this bowl in the fridge and started to devour it! Well, it ruined his dinner but he sure did like this salad!

Slow Cooker Mexican Casserole

I made this before and it didn't seem too bad. Made it again and it just wasn't the same as it seemed to be. Didn't change anything. It does taste better the next day. Sour cream helps it immensely.

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
Very good macaroni salad! I didn't have the dill pickle relish so I had to sub with sweet. Next time I'll cut the sugar down a bit and the mayo, too. A little too saucy, but still very good!!!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
Delicious! Fall off the bone tender and so moist! It couldn't get any easier to 'bake' a chicken. I couldn't find anything less than 4-1/2 pounds and I only added about an hour on Low (after 1 hour on High) making it 11 hours (instead of 8-10) in the crockpot. Will surely make this again!!

Slow Cooker Dump and Go Cheesy Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
It was going to be a very busy day and I didn't want to worry about cooking dinner so I picked this recipe. Didn't have cream of Cheddar cheese soup but I did have a can of Fiesto Nacho Cheese. Don't care for cream of chicken so I also used a can of cream of celery with the 1/2 cup milk. It turned out a little too runny I think but was overall very good! I would cut down on the milk next time by at least half. My husband said it was delicious and I do have to agree.

A very nice seafood salad. Reading reviews I did cut the mayo in half. Had to use regular milk and I used a 12 oz bag of imitation crab. Delicious!

I've been making egg sandwiches like this for years! The only thing I might do differently is add some bacon once in a while. They're so quick, easy and delicious!
