Bow Ties with Sausage and Red Pepper
About this Cook
I love to try new things and to excel in them the next time when they don't turn out so great the first time. Married with 3 dogs; my 13 year old Schnauzer, a 12 year old Lab/Shep mix and a 4 year old Min Pin. We lost our kitty last March (2011) to colon cancer which is rare in cats. We were devastated. She had been with us since born. Her sister went to live with my brother and his wife and she was recently diagnosed with carcinoma. Sadly she worsened and went to the Rainbow Bridge on 3/6/12, only 21/2 weeks before her sister left us a year ago.
My favorite things to cook
I really like Italian dishes. Growing up my mom never had anything like spaghetti and meatballs, tomato sauce, pizza, lasagna, raviolis, nothin'. I was in my late teens before I even saw a pizza. I thought 'how gross', but now it's one of my favorites.

Traditions? Not sure of ever having any.

I'll have to get back to ya on that one.
My cooking tragedies
My first husband was Italian so I tried to make him an Italian dish. Forget what it was but it called for a clove of garlic. Good Grief!! Noone could enter the house for hours ~ I chopped and chopped that whole bulb up and put it all in a saucepan on the stove. Phew!! A lesson well learned.

Sausage Casserole
I didn't have any potatoes so I used diced hash browns instead. It was simple to put together and fairly quick. We both enjoyed this very much. I know the leftovers will reheat really nicely in the nuker. This will definitely be made again and probably I'll use the hash browns again.

Breakfast Wellington
We found this very tasty, at least, for us! This was so easy to put together. I did mix everything in the skillet, though, instead of dirtying a bowl. Worked out great! I also decided to make this into a braid which I enjoy making. Will do this one again! Thanks Clara for posting.

Southwest Dipping Sauce
Super easy and oh so tasty!! I'm not sure what creamy horseradish is so I just used my prepared out of the bottle. Sure will be doing this again! Thanks for sharing!
