Holiday Manhattan
This recipe reads like that for a very sweet Manhattan. I scaled it down to one drink and as promisedit WAS very sweet, so not fair of me to judge. (The hot water is there to melt the sugar, I imagine). If you omit the sugar and sub grenadine (maraschino cherry "juice") that actually might lesson the toothache factor. I'm a sucker for a Bourbon Manhattan so this is a fun recipe to toy with!

Chicken Paprikash
Very very close to the recipe taught to me by my Grandmother, although over the years I have taken to adding chicken stock, parsley and I stick strictly to Szgred Paprika. Also, something Very Important! Driven home to me by "my "Ex", a grad of the CIA. I wondered why my sauce sometimes broke, and without blinking he said "Don't Let It Boil after the cream is added"!! This was our first date. he passed the Foodie Test and taught me about cream sauces at once, so Please, while you may be lucky, Do Not Let the sauce come to a boil after the sour cream is added!

Chicken Marsala
This Sounds Heavenly, and just the dish I intend to make myself for my upcoming birthday!! I will take a few hints from previous reviewers (I love the idea of onions with the mushrooms) and since mushrooms are a particular favorite of mine, I may "splurge", I just can't wait to have this dish!! Thanks for sharing!
