Made these following the recipe and they came out perfect. It was my weeekend to make breakfast on Sunday and my wife loved these pancakes. No need for us to have anothe recipe in the house now since we will always use this one.

Cajun Style Baked Sweet Potato

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
Made the recipe "as is" and had these along with a turkey breast and biscuits. I have to agree with many other reviewers that these are a great alternative to the standard baked sweet potato with some butter and cinnamon on it. We did cube the potato as many others suggested. These potatoes were great. Soft in teh center, just a hint of crunchy on the edges and great flavoring. We will add this to our standard array of side dishes.

Molasses Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2006
Wow! These cookies live up to their description. Great tasting cookies that stay soft even after being frozen. I did add a bit more flour per reviewer suggestions but otherwise I followed the recipe. I have recommended these to many people who all love them.

Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
My wife made this a few years back and ever since then it is my all time favorite. This has become the standard turkey for Thanksgiving in our household. It always tastes great. This is one of my top 3 meals of all time...it's that good.

Anne's Homemade Chorizo

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
This is a great Chorizo recipe. This was our first attempt at making chorizo to add to several dishes that call for it. I added 2 tsp of cumin for a nice flavor and also used a mixture of chili powders. Half of chili powder I used was the generic grocery store variety and the other half was pasilla chili powder. Next time I will add a third variety to fine tune the heat and chili pepper taste to our personal liking. I took the advice of one reviewer and reversed the volume of beef and pork so that there was twice as much ground pork as there was beef. My wife loved it and we will make this again.

Feta Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Breasts

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
Great recipe and VERY simple. I took advice of others and let chicken sit in the oil/lemon juice/ garlic/oregano mixture in a ziploc for a little over an hour in the fridge. I then removed it and stuffed it with crumbled Feta mixed together with pieces of crumbled bacon. Any leftover feta/bacon I placed over the top of each breast during the last 7 minutes of baking. Great recipe, will make again and again.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2006
Like many other reviewers the sparse number of ingrediants combined with the thought of cranberry sauce & French dressing made us skeptical but in the end it was good & we plan to make it again. I did use fresh crushed garlic & rubbed it on all sides of our 3.5lb pork tenderloin followed by a light application of salt & pepper before placing it in our crock pot. My advice on the "sauce" is to mix the dressing & cranberries BEFORE adding the onion to the mix as the onions make it difficult to thoroughly mix otherwise. Our tenderloin took only 6 hrs on low but was moist and tasty & perfect for a day when you need something easy that you can start & let cook without any tending to. My wife did use "Wondra" to thicken the sauce.

Dakota's Texas Style Chili

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
This is a wonderful recipe! It was nice to find a recipe for chili that didn't include beans. This is no wimpy chili either, because it has hunks of beef in a spicy yet extraordinarily flavorful sauce. We froze the extras & when thawed we heated, added some fresh shredded cheese & sour cream & it was still great. We will definitely make this again! By the way, take the submitters advice & make the delicious cornbread that was mentioned, the two recipes make for a great meal.

Out of this World Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
This was an easy recipe that provided the juiciest turkey breast that I have ever eaten. I had never brined before and thought it was time to step in to that arena and give it a try. The recipe was easy to follow and I made it "as is". Having never brined before I was unsure what to expect in the way of flavor recieved from a brine and I guess I am still unsure. Although this turkey was as moist as they get, it tasted like plain turkey (which was good) but no other flavors came through. Now since I had never tried this maybe I should not expect flavoring from the brine only moisture. I would try this again but I would add herbs etc. during the baking process.

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2006
My wife & I made this last Sunday & I have to agree with many of the other reviewers; this is way to mushy for our taste. We were sure to bake it for 20 minutes and flip it over as one reviewer advised to make it firmer and we even cut the liquids that you soak it in overnight in half per suggestions by reviewers but one person described it best when they said that everything but the crust was "like custard". The flavor is okay but the texture is not our cup of tea; we won't be making this again.
