Beer Dip I

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
My family has been making this for as long as I can remember. We take it to every superbowl, cookout and potluck type dinner. I make it for game night at my house and it is always gone. This is fast, easy and everyone always wants the recipe.

Mexican Rice III

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
This is amazing. I made it with Bob's Mexican Chicken from this site last night for some friends and family. Everyone loved it. My boyfriend liked it so much he brought it to work today to let his friends try it. The only changes I made was I added about a 1/2 cup of extra chicken broth. 1 small can of tomato sauce. I used a can of Rotel instead of the tomato (only because I like it better) and I also added chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder and paprika to it. I also added another jalpeno because we like spicy food. Once it was boiling and I turned the heat down and covered it, I did not remove the cover for the full 20 minutes. I made it slightly ahead of time due to the amount of prep work involved to make the chicken so before serving I put it in a baking dish topped it with cheese and warmed it through. It was great and tasted good reheated the next day. Thank for sharing we wont have another Mexican dinner without it.

Southern-Style Meat Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
My family and I love this sauce. I take a small amount out of the pot and transfer it to another pot before I add the red pepper flakes for my kids. I dont use as much salt as called for and I use onion powder to please the family. It is a huge hit, thanks for sharing.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2008
I have used this recipe so many times. I make it as written adding black pepper and garlic powder to taste. It makes a lot of gravy so I serve it with mashed potatoes. I have made it adding potatoes to the slow cooker but I don't like it as well with this recipe. Great Recipe...thanks for posting!!!

Chicken in Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2008
My family loved this. We did not find it bland or watery at all. I did top it with green onion and used salt/pepper/garlic powder to taste otherwise I follwed the recipe how it was written. I served it over rice. Next time I am going to try it over pasta. I will also double the sauce if I serve over something rather then with a side dish. A keeper in our house!! Thanks!!

French Onion Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2007
This was a great casserole. My husband really enjoyed it, he put ketchup on it and said it tasted like meatloaf. I liked it with steak sauce. My daughter said too much onion for her, but the 2nd time I made it, I used the french onion soup mix (and took out the onion) and two cups of water and kept the green onion and she ate and liked it a lot more. We will make this again!!

Delicious Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2007
I made this skipping the broth step only because I just don’t have that much time on a weeknight. I just used store bought broth and skinless boneless chicken breast. I cut up and fried the chicken in some olive oil before adding it. I also used one can cream of chicken and one can cream of broccoli cheese (that is what I had). I added two cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese. I thought it turned out okay. Then yesterday when I was ready to eat the left overs, I scraped of most of the crackers (so it wouldn’t get too mushy), put it in the microwave warmed it just enough to be able to stir it. I added ¾ a can of mushroom soup, another six oz of sour crm, and about ¼ cup of chicken broth, mixed it all together again and put new crackers on top. I put it back into a smaller casserole dish. And the left overs (about half the 9 X 13) turned out awesome. It was so better then the first day. I will definitely make this again. I plan on making it on the weekend with the homemade broth. But don’t pass this recipe just because of the time to make the homemade broth. It is worth it if you use the store bought broth.
