Balsamic Bruschetta

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
Our local restaurant makes the most fabulous balsamic bruschetta and this comes close. They toast long french bread slices in butter and add a layer of goat cheese on top. Phenomenal!

Crustless Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
I would give this recipe a 4.5, but a 5 with these changes - I cut the spinach down by almost a half. All of the spinach was too much and made it too dense. I also added two finely crushed fresh garlic cloves, added about 1/2 cup of shredded parmesan, and about two tablespoons of finely diced red peppers. I also used the mini muffin pan since this was for a brunch party. I first filled them 3/4 of the way and they turned out too dry so the next time I filled them to the top and they puffed up perfectly and they were so moist and fluffy. It took about 25 minutes at 350 degrees. They were such a hit and they popped out just perfectly!! Thanks for the recipe.

Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
This was an absolutely delicious salad!! I didn't have cashews so I used toasted pecans and also used a good soft feta instead of the swiss.

Frogmore Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2007
Excellent dish! This is perfect for leftovers. All week, we've been picking from it. We had the sausage for breakfast. We mashed the potatoes for dinner and added the corn to our salads. The shrimp was great as a snack with cocktail sauce. It was amazingly easy to make and helped me stretch my weekly menu with all of the leftovers!

Authentic Enchiladas Verdes

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
We absolutely loved this recipe! The verde sauce is a winner! After reading the reviews, I decided to only go with 2 peppers, which was more than plenty for us. We like mild-medium spiciness and it was just right. Also, after boiling my chicken for 20 minutes, I didn't have much broth leftover to puree so I had to add a little bit extra canned chicken stock, but it turned out terrific still. Thanks for the awesome recipe!

Taqueria Style Tacos - Carne Asada

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2007
This is my absolute favorite recipe on allrecipes. My husband is from Southern California and it's hard to find good carne asada on the east coast. He LOVES this dish. I tried the sauce the first time I made it and although it was terrific, it was simply too much time to make so I now purchase the fresh salsa from the vegetable section. I use this marinade on chicken and it turns out SOOOO good!!! When I make these tacos, I now do half flank steak and half chicken. It's really great and I thank the contributor!

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
I didn't even like coleslaw. I made this because my mom wanted me to bring some over for dinner. Not only did everyone love it, but I now crave it!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2006
The BEST stuffing I've ever eaten. I didn't have turkey sausage, so I used Bob Evans Sage sausage and it worked out wonderfully. I also wasn't certain if the recipe called for dried ground rosemary or just the rosemary leaves. I used the dried rosemary leaves and it tasted great! I can't wait to make this for Thanksgiving.
