About this Cook
I love to cook and experience what different cultures have to offer to the food world. I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen and trying to figure out those great restaurant recipes. Grilling and BBQ are a passion I would love to be able to compete at Memphis in May one year. I enjoy throwing parties it gives me an excuse to cook and I love to feed friends and family. I am very thankful to have a dog because even my worst cooking nightmares are enjoyed, eaten and loved! Route 66 is another love of mine. The diners and people of the route have inspired me and given me some wonderful recipes and cooking tips! The Mother Road is amazing when it comes to food and has influenced me so much when it comes to my cooking. The people are amazing and wonderful to share a meal with. They really understand that a meal with friends and family is so important and memorable!
My favorite things to cook
I love to BBQ and Grill. I usually either have the smoker smoking or the grill grilling. Campfire cooking is another thing I enjoy people are amazed at the great food you can have over a fire! Pork Steaks an STL favorite are always a favorite and you can find me cooking them in winter. I love to make appetizers who does love finger food or some great dip. I also love to cook for large crowds so more is always better!

BLT Salad
I love this recipe. After eating at PI a very popular pizza place in STL I had to know how to make this salad. I have had it there several times and crave it. So I was very happy to find this recipe. First off I added banana peppers. Diced them up I just used some jared ones (they have them in the salad at PI), next I did add a half packet of Ranch Salad Dressing just to give it some flar if you do this you do not need the garlic. I also used baby tomatos and cut them in half. Of course use the REAL bacon it taste so much better! Other than that I stuck to the basics, iceburg lettuce does not work at all. Thanks for sharing this is a huge hit and I make it all the time!

Pork Chops Stuffed with Smoked Gouda and Bacon
First of all I love Gouda so I thought how could you go wrong. Well you can't! These were amazing. Like all cooks I made just a few changes. First it was 20 degrees here so I was not going to grill. I cooked up the bacon, mixed with cheese and added green apples. They all go well together then I stuffed and yes then I fried them in the bacon grease. I also used the extra apples, gouda and bacon and added some milk and butter and made a sauce to top the chops with. AMAZING! I was trying to keep my dirty pans so that is why I friend in the bacon grease yeah not healthy but oh so yummy! I have posted this to facebook that is how good it is and I will be making this again! Of course next time I hope to use the grill. Just a little bit of work and you get an amazing dish! WONDERFUL I cannot say enough about this pair with some pots and peas and you are good to go!

Jambalaya
Wonderful!!! I have made this dish 3 times now and even the picky eater of the house loves it. I just some Polish Sausage since Andouille is a little hard to find around here. I skip the file powder and use olive oil since I always have it on hand. Instead of the white rice I use a Jambalaya mixture like the family size Zantarains family size mix. Two of the cans of tomatoes. Of course serve with some yummy cornbread! This dish also reheats very well and I think eve taste better then next day! Thanks so much for sharing this will be a favorite of ours forever!
