Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
I roasted them for 30 minutes - they were still rather crunchy - better wait until they turned dark as the recipe says.

Airport Bob's Green Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
Added crisp bacon back in before serving. Wonderful addition to Easter dinner. It wasn't too sweet as others have said - don't be afraid - try it.

Asparagus Parmesan

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
Added garlic as others recommended. Added in just enough Parmesan cheese for taste. Wonderful. Ten minutes on low heat was right on.

Used on Slow Cooker Pulled Pork recipe (Livie's Mammy's) on this site. Wonderful! (used only a few dashes of cayenne pepper).

Special Occasion Stuffed Crown Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
My first time making this type of roast. WONDERFUL! I used dried crandberries in dressing and it was wonderful. The middle of the roast wasn't large enough to hold much stuffing, so I added more apple juice and baked it for about 20 minutes by itself. Yummy!

Octoberfest Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
Only marinated for 30 minutes like recipie said and was recommended. I then pan fried the pork chops (after dredging them in flour, salt, pepper). Then put in scarce amount of water and cooked for 1 hour. Gravy left was DELICIOUS!

Hasenpfeffer (Rabbit Stew)

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
Used wild rabbit- it was so tender. I cooked it on low for 3 hours. I didn't have red wine so used 1/4 cup aged balsamic vinegar and 1/4 cup water. Can't wait to use red wine next time!

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2007
My family LOVED this roast. I did it in my Nesco Roaster - which only goes to about 425 degrees. After preheating the roaster, I left it on high for the time indicated, then turned it off for 4 hours. It was perfect! Tender, pink, very juicy. I had to leave a note on top of the roaster: "Do Not Lift Lid!" - because everyone always wants to peek!

Cream of Sweet Potato Soup

Wonderful soup. I used whole milk and it worked fine. Be careful when adding caynenne pepper! A little goes a long way!

Buttermilk Chocolate Cake with Fudge Icing

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2006
So Chocolaty and moist - we had to eat little pieces at a time! My neighbors (whom I shared it with) are still raving about it. I changed cocoa to 1/4 cup also (maybe a tad more...)
