Ornament Dough

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
LOVED THIS RECIPE! I added to it 1 bottle of cheap cinnamon and some nutmeg. They smelled delicous and the dough was very plyable. The smell last about a week. Tip bake for longer than stated at 15 to 20 minutes to time stated. Can even do more time in oven ornaments will not be damaged.

Out of this World Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
Made the Turkey super moist, not salty, but not as flavorful as I thought. Did use an oven bag and marinated for a full 24 hours. I also did not have brown sugar so I used white table sugar which account for the lack of flavor. I will use again and next time do for 24 hours. I can definatley notice the difference with and without the brine. The meat was like butter silky and not dry. Being a total white meat fan this is important.

Instant Russian Tea

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2007
Loved flavor but way too sugary. I will modify sugar next time with more unsweetened products. Has an orange spice flavor was was nice and fast. Had to add an extra cup of unsweetend tea and Lemon Kool Aide Packet due to high sugar taste.

Big Ed's Cajun Shrimp Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2005
I have reviewed this before. But it is so good I had to review it again!!!! Last time I made this it was New Year's, this time I made it for Superbowl. Again it was a huge hit. I added 1/2 of spanish chorizos sliced really thin and garlic paste instead of garlic cloves. Always remeber this recipe has to be tripled or quad. if you have a crowd. I am also cooking this dish for a ladies retreat. This recipe has endless possibliities. My son had to help me cook it as I was injured and he remarked WOW is this really this easy?

I made this recipe and I HATE MEAT LOAF... This recipe ROCKS. I also made some substitutions to make it lower fat like egg substitute for egg and Low fat Chesse( Swiss to make it Sharper tasting). I also took everyones advice cooked it for 1 hour and 30 minutes. 1 hour covered 30 minutes uncovered. It was tender and delicious and I even made a sandwich later on at night it was soo goood. I will make this often.. And Hubby Loved it he wanted more at night as well. Hubby Friendly!!!!!!!!!
