Maple-Glazed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
Very Impressive! Oh, how delicious these pork chops are! I would have to say that these are perhaps some of the best tasting chops I have ever made. I followed the ingredients and the cooking method as written. Since I like a spicy taste with the sweet, I added a bit of cayenne pepper into my flour mixture. These chops were fantastic served over white rice as the sauce was great on the rice! Thank you for a wonderful new way of cooking pork chops!

Insanely Amazing Jalapeno Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
I had a little extra sour cream on hand so I added it into this dip, otherwise I followed the directions exactly. I really, really enjoyed this dip and will make it many times again. I loved the kick of the jalapenos, and felt the Parmesan added a nice taste. Thank you happywife! It was delicious!

Two-Tone Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
These potatoes make a great presentation, and my family was excited to see something new and different on the holiday table this year. As for my personal taste, if I made them again I would use smaller potatoes than the ones I used, and I would also use different ingredients for both the white and sweet potatoes. I like the presentation, I just felt the potatoes could have been jazzed up a bit more. Thanks for your recipe Sherree!

Lisa's Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
I followed this recipe exactly. It was very easy. The outcome was a simple, almost brownie like cake. I had hoped that it would be a bit more moist. It had a nice taste to it, just a bit plain.

Yellow Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
This is a very basic, very simple tasty casserole. It is delicious as is and stands on its own without a lot of the extras you find in other squash casseroles. I liked how easy it was to prepare. I took it to work and my co-workers couldn't stop raving. I couldn't help but think that I had made a better squash casserole in the past, but, was very happy with the way this one turned out. I made it exactly as written, only adding a tad of garlic and covering the top in cheese.

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
Having made many different cabbage roll recipes, this one was not a fave for me. It was the sauce. I am not sure which ingredient didn't taste right for me. Regardless, the recipe should call for the sauce to be mixed in with the beef mixture instead of just being poured on top, to avoid dryness. I always mix my beef with the sauce to roll, then pour the remainder of the beef mixture and sauce on top of all.

Seasoned Oyster Crackers

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
I really like this combo of seasonings, especially with the addition of some red pepper flakes. I will try these again sometime and bake them. I am sure they are good either way. Thank you!

Chili Cheese Snacks

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
These are quite tasty. I think a few additional spices could be used, even jalapenos would be good in this recipe. Remember to slice these thin. I had a problem with them being very gooey and sticky while trying to slice them. A reviewer below has a great idea about putting them in the fridge a day ahead to make slicing easier. Also, that would allow the flavors to hang out a little longer and really be good. I will make these again for sure!

Panzanella Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2008
I made this salad exactly as written. While good, it was not my fave. (sorry pixie!) I am a big bread lover, but even I was a bit turned off when the bread got a little mushy. If I were to serve this to guest, I would wait until the last minute to stir in the bread.

Jalapeno Corn Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2008
This was great. I was a little worried that the sugar might be a bit much, but it was perfect. It turned out nice and fluffy and spicy, just like I wanted. Thank you!

Korean BBQ Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
I thought this was just ok. I took the suggestion from Dr. Larry below and served it over rice with steamed veggies. For my taste, it would be important that garlic is added in here somewhere! Thank you for the recipe!

Make-Ahead Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
As this recipe is written, these are standard meatballs. Good, but nothing great, until you add your seasonings or sauces. These are good, but they are what they are. They work great for being make-ahead meatballs waiting on you to compliment them! Thank you for the recipe!

BLT Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2008
A secret to this salad is to bake or grill your chicken first. And season it well. Then slice it up onto this delicious salad. The dressing is outstanding. I don't get a big BLT taste from this dressing, but I do get a delicious taste! Thank you for the recipe!

Pork Chop and Feta Skillet

These are excellent flavors that blend well together. For extra lemony taste, try adding a few shots of lemon pepper. The feta was delicious on these chops. Thank you for the recipe!

Enchilada Stack

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2008
I have been making these stacked enchiladas since I was a little girl in the 70's! Of course, I didn't learn to do them in the microwave back then, so I stick to the oven when cooking them. I believe I did tried them in the crock pot once, a little messy, but still good! No matter how you cook them, they are delicious!

Vicki's Hush Puppies

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
I have been making hush puppies for many years, and these are the best I have ever made. They rolled into balls perfectly, and I placed them in the fridge for 30 minutes before frying. If you have a problem rolling them into balls, remember that hush puppies do not have to be perfectly round. My Mom and Grandmother used to just drop them by the spoonfulls into the grease. I added a few diced jalapenos and they were as perfect a hush puppy as I have ever eaten. Thank you so much!

The Best Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
These mashed potatoes are good, but I didn't find them to be something I would make again. I love garlic and cream cheese and all that good stuff in my potatoes, and have found other recipes I seem to like better. Thank you!
