Great Dip!
About this Cook
Visiting this recipe site has been such a pleasure for me over the last few years. I have learned so much from it, talked with so many people, and had some really fun times here! I joined this site shortly after my bout with cancer. After all the treatments, cooking was what I needed to make my life "normal" again. I learned so many great recipes that I cooked for my family and my husband. I spent a year away from this site because I needed to lose weight, now I am 60 pounds lighter, divorced and cancer free!! Wow!! How things change! But I am so glad to see that AllRecipes is still here, and so are many of my friends!
My favorite things to cook
Appetizers, finger foods. I love inviting friends over and loading my kitchen up with all kinds of mini sandwiches, meatballs, dips. I usually have 5 crockpots going at once, each one with a warm dip or appetizer of some kind.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When I have friends over for parties or the holidays, I always let my husband cook the meat, either on the grill or in the oven. I enjoy preparing the side dishes and the appetizers.
My cooking triumphs
I have tried so many wonderful recipes from this site. I have finally found so many perfect dishes that I will continue to make from now on. I learn so much from the reviews from other cooks. It really helps to know that you are not the only one that makes mistakes sometimes!!!
My cooking tragedies
Uh, well....there have been many! I will never forget the time I tried to bake a banana pudding! And just the other day I left the cream cheese out of cream cheese bars! Let's just say my garbage disposal never goes hungry!!!

Maple-Glazed Pork Chops
Very Impressive! Oh, how delicious these pork chops are! I would have to say that these are perhaps some of the best tasting chops I have ever made. I followed the ingredients and the cooking method as written. Since I like a spicy taste with the sweet, I added a bit of cayenne pepper into my flour mixture. These chops were fantastic served over white rice as the sauce was great on the rice! Thank you for a wonderful new way of cooking pork chops!

Insanely Amazing Jalapeno Cheese Dip
I had a little extra sour cream on hand so I added it into this dip, otherwise I followed the directions exactly. I really, really enjoyed this dip and will make it many times again. I loved the kick of the jalapenos, and felt the Parmesan added a nice taste. Thank you happywife! It was delicious!

Two-Tone Baked Potatoes
These potatoes make a great presentation, and my family was excited to see something new and different on the holiday table this year. As for my personal taste, if I made them again I would use smaller potatoes than the ones I used, and I would also use different ingredients for both the white and sweet potatoes. I like the presentation, I just felt the potatoes could have been jazzed up a bit more. Thanks for your recipe Sherree!
