Lemon Blueberry Drop Scones

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
My first attempt at scones - delicious. I subbed sour cream for the yogurt. The batter was dry so it was a little difficult to "drop" these. Next time I will double the glaze as it takes these scones to another lever; I will also add some lemon juice to the batter to increase the liquid so it isn't dry. LEMONY-BLUEBERRY GOODNESS!

Tin Roof Sundae Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2011
Can you say Peanut Buster Bar Pie? I changed the recipe slightly for the ingredients I had on hand. I used a graham cracker crust, spread warmed hot funge on bottom, sprinkled spanish peanuts on top, spread on thawed vanilla ice cream, drizzled with chocolate sauce and more spanish peanuts and froze. YUM!!!

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011
I made these with thin pork cutlets and it was a hit with the family. Maybe not the healthiest way to eat pork chops/cutlets, but definately the tastiest.

Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
YUM! These were a bit hit at my party. I made my own meatballs the day before with 3 lbs. ground beef. I cut the sauce recipe in half and pour the sauce over the meatballs and reheated in the crockpot.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Super easy comfort food that tastes delicious. My entire family gobbled this up. I followed other reviews and added seasoning and chicken broth, used chicken thighs, and rolled and cut my biscuits and cooked an additional 2 hours after adding.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
My new favorite Chili recipe. I only added 1 can tomato sauce and instead of kidney beans, 1 can Brooks Hot Chili beans; I also lessened the chili seasoning mix to 2 TB due to the seasoning in the beans. I put it all in a crockpot for 6 hours. I had never used the crock pot for Chili before, but after tasting this, I'll try to always put in the the crockpot. Thanks for the easy, super yummy recipe!

Best Ziti Ever with Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
This was very good and much easier than lasagna. I cooked the sausage (Jimmy Dean original0 with onion and garlic. I thought the 2 jars of sauce was a lot and my pan was almost overflowing. However, the noodles soaked up the sauce. Next time I would only cook 3/4 of the box of pasta so it was a little saucier.

Fast and Easy Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
Very easy and oh so tasty. The only change I made was using 1 can Veg-All vegetable mix, baked the bottom crust first for 10 minutes because I hate soggy crust. Do not trim the bottom crust because it shrinks.

Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
Very good and easy; I threw all the ingredients in a crockpot and cooked for 4 hours with a couple of changes: I used Apple Cider Vinegar and left out the caraway seeds. Next time I would replace the water with at least 1/2 apple juice and increase the vinegar as I like my red cabbage tangy.

Sangria by the Pros

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
WOW - this was really good! The only change I made was to add the 7-up to the glass before adding the Sangria, if you can't use the whole batch right away.

Ground Beef Enchiladas

Reviewed: May 5, 2010
Very good and easy to customize since I have picky kids. I made the tace meat without the onions and jalapeno's. I made 3 enchiladas with just the taco meat and added chopped pickled jalapenos to another 4 and put in a 9 x13 inch pan. Next time I will do the same, but may add some regular red enchilada sauce to the the bottom of the pan.

I was looking for a similar recipe that our local deli makes, so I made substitutions: I did not have sweet onion, so I substituted radishes.
