I am 24 years old and happily married to a wonderful man! I work in the Credit Department of a small privately owned company in Atlanta, and I love it. I have no children (yet), but I do have a loveable cat and an energetic dog. I love spending time with family and friends, writing, playing on the computer, cooking and just having a good time!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking and baking just about everything! I love to cook old well known recipes, but I also love to try new recipes as well. I love baking cupcakes and muffins and bringing them to the office for everyone to enjoy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Everything that I know how to cook is because my Mom & Dad taught me. We've been eating the same thing for Thanksgiving and Christmas as far back as I can remember. Though when we moved to the South, my parents fell in love with rutabegas and now they cook them every Thanksgiving. I love making salads and appetizers with my parents, baking sweet and sticky things with my brother, and trying new things with my husband.
My cooking triumphs
I feel like everything I've cooked is a triumph-- simply because I tried something new or used an oldie but goodie recipe, and when the meal is over we all have fully bellies and happy hearts!
My cooking tragedies
Most of the time I have trouble decorating cakes. They never come out looking as good as I imagined them. I have to keep praticing!

Priceless Pecan Pie
I really hate to give this such a low rating-- maybe it was me... but... I agree with user BN61079... this pie did not turn out for me. The edges burnt, the cream cheese stuff didn't look like cheesecake at all, and we couldn't even get it out of the pie dish. I was so disgusted with how the pie turned out, I didn't even taste it. My husband tried it and said it was good, but he eats literally anything. I won't make this one again!

Pumpkin Cheese Pie
I LOVE this recipe. I got so many compliments on this pie. My Mom even wanted the recipe, and she's the Master Cook around my house! This recipe is inexpensive and tastes delicious. The only problem I had is getting the cream cheese to completely smooth. There were little lumps left and they didn't bake out- they were still there when the pie had cooled. Next time I will have to smoothen the mixture more. And the recipe calls for 1 pie shell, this mixture made 1 9" pie, 3 mini 1" pies and I had a lot left over. Better get 2-3 pie shells for this one.

Grandma's Corn Bread Dressing
This recipe is wonderful! To change it up a little though, I only added 1 beaten egg. And then I added 1 can of cream of mushroom soup. The soup held the dressing together, made it perfectly moist, and added a really nice flavor to it!
