Carole's Sesame Chicken Salad

Reviewed: May 31, 2007
I LOVE this salad. I like mine with sliced almonds and mandarin orange slices. I also added some chopped celery and a green pepper. It is EXCELLENT!So colorful...I did thin down the dressing, used less mayo and a bit of salad oil and vinegar. GREAT!

Aebleskiver

Best way to eat these is to fill them with sausage crumbles and Havarti cheese then top with maple syrup... AMAZING! In Denmark they sell these in the shops in bags frozen for convenience, not bad...but nothing like those made at home.

Mayonnaise Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2007
This is a GREAT recipe! I always think twice about the hassle of making biscuits. This was SO easy, who would have thought about mayo in the biscuits?? Turned out great. I had mine with honey and my honey had his with gravy, both DELISH!!! I did add baking powder and salt and two teaspoons of white sugar.

Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2007
I love this recipe! I think if I made it again I would leave a lip of cream cheese filling around the outside edge so that the strawberry filling does not overflow and soak the crust. I do not like that you have to eat this quickly or the crust is soggy. I also would bake the crust a bit more to make it extra crisp. But I LOVE the taste of thsi dish!

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2007
GREAT crust! I used it on the grill though and if I had it to do over I would add some extra flour to be sure it would not fall through the grill. This was not a recipe for grilled pizza crust so it was not the fault of the recipe. Loved the taste! Thanks...

Apple-Cinnamon Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2007
Great recipe! Pet peeve is people who review recipes when they have used things like canned pie filling in a recipe calling for fresh apples, changed the way the bread is cut and then pronounced the recipe "no good". Stick to the recipe if you want to submit a review!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
GREAT STUFF! To make these rolls a little more "gooey" inside I added some brown sugar and cinnamon to the top of each roll and a small bit of butter. This gives them that ooey-gooey on the inside that cinnabon has. I agree that to lower the temp a bit and bake a little longer is a good idea. This way they are cooked in the middle without being overdone. I used this icing with just a bit more vanilla and LOVE it! I just might have to mass produce these babies!hmmm....

German Baby

Reviewed: May 11, 2007
This was FANTASTIC! I have to admit that after readingthe reviews I did add the vanilla and a bit of powdered sugar to the batter. I melted the butter in a heavy duty nonstick cake pan and then added the batter and out into a hot oven. Rose beautifully! I liked it with lemon and powdered sugar and also homemade hot maple syrup. My husband liked it with just the syrup. Thanks!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2007
I LOVED these cookies. However, I did have to add extra flour to make the consistency right, otherwise they spread too much. I added WHITE CHOCOLATE chips along with DRIED cherries instead of choc. chips. WONDERFUL!!!

Peanut Butter Popcorn

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
Hubby says it is the best carmel corn he ever had, gotta be true!!! :) I made it for a movie night tonight , but he got to it first! I added to the melted mixture the swirled chocolate/peanut butter chips and poured it over the corn, then sprinkled some chopped pecans and Heath chips over that before toasting 20 minutes in the oven. I stirred the batch probably three times to keep it all mixed well. THANKS for the recipe!

Chicken Spaghetti Casserole I

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2008
The best help for this recipe is from Deb from Houston if you scroll down. I took some shortcuts as I just added a chicken Boullion cube to the spaghetti water and I heated the frozen cooked chicken I had on hand in the hot stock water after the pasta cooked. I made my own cream of mushroom soup since I live overseas. If you dont have soup or you cant get it here is the recipe: 1/2 c milk and 1/2 cup cream mixed in glass measure cup. Add one chicken boullion cube for cream of chicken soup. I add extra garlic red pepper if I am making a mexican dish. If I need cream of mushroom I add 1/2 cup chopped mushrooms and some black pepper and some granulated garlic. Then heat the milk mixture in microwave until hot. Add 1/4 c. water mixed with 2Tbsp. corn starch and heat until thickened. This is the perfect substitute for all those expensive cream soups and is VERY tasty!!

I have used mini marshmallows to stuff mt berries and then put them on skewers that have been loaded with green grapes. Using the berry as a flower at the end makes a great boquet which I have used as edible table decor! Great recipe-Thanks
