Irish Cream Creme Brulee

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2014
I made this recipe for Sunday dinner. The flavor was great and everyone loved it. As for the Bailey's taste, it was lost in the dish, nobody cold tell it was in there and I used more than what it called for just so we could taste it. Great Brulee but forget the Bailey's. I followed the recipe exactly but just added more Bailey's. Thanks for a great desert though!!

French Toast Stars

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2013
I use diferent cookie cutters to make sandwiches for my son for school; when boring old bread becomes a "snowman sandwich" or a christmas tree..... they are the "star" of the classroom. Great idea for picky eaters!

Meaty Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2013
I make a sauce very similar to this and I haven't tried this one, but just wanted to add a little tip when I make mine.... I buy a jar of Classico Bruschetta and add it to the sauce. It has all the flavors I want in my meat sauce and really adds to the taste. Same thing when I make Chilli, I throw in a jar of Salsa as it has all the flavours and textures I want as well as all the other things I put in it. It's a great little trick to make your sauces perfect.

Thai Ginger Chicken (Gai Pad King)

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2013
I made this for my husband for his Valentines Dinner and I followed the recipe right to the limit except that I couldn't find the thai red chili paste but I did find Thai chili dipping sauce which I thoguht would be ok.... Husband said it was not hot spicy enough (and he likes Thai food) so that may have been the problem. I did put a dash of Asian garlic chili sauce to make up for the heat, but still it was not what I was hoping it to be. Considering the cost for all of the ingredients cause I've never made Thai before, I gave away my Fish and Oyster sauce as I know I will not be making this again. Sorry, it was just a glorified stir fry that was just average, and like others have said, there really wasn't enough sauce. It was fun to try though! Thanks anyways!

Chocolate Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2012
I can't count the times I have made this delicious banana bread, for the cottage in the summer, for school lunches..... for sweet 16 birthday parties. It is requested every time I go somewhere and it is the first thing to go every time! Smells awesome in the oven, so moist and the chocolate chips gives it a nice texture. I never change a thing and the recipe is perfect how it is. I think people put bananas in my freezer just so I can make it again!!! Thanks for an awesome recipe... my friends and family thank you. Hot out of the oven, umm.....I can smell it now. I also love how it makes two pans so you can freeze one for later and it keeps perfectly!

Microwave Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2012
Family thought the corn was too chewy and I must agree. I prefer boiling it in the pot over this method anyday. Although quicker, it didn't work for me for taste. Sorry....

Bubba's Jambalaya

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
Bubba, this is the only kind of jambalaya I will ever make. It is spicy, full of flavours and I have never changed a thing. I would give this a million stars if I could. I have even given the recipe to friends...... An awesome dinner awaits anyone who makes this; and that is me tonight! Thanks so much for this one!

Kay's Spaghetti and Lasagna Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2012
Another good hint if you don't want to use sugar is to add a carrott, either small baby ones or a large one split up the middle. The carrot adds natural sweetness to the sauce and was also from an old Italian lady who my mom got the secret from. The one who gets the carrott in their sauce is said to be going to have good luck!!! Enjoy.

Easy Bacon, Onion and Cheese Stuffed Burgers

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2007
These burgers were fantastic and I would give it a 5 for flavour, but I had trouble keeping the cheese from leaking out, even though I sealed everything very tight. Nothing worse than seeing your hard work melting into the bar-b-que. Great flavour and wonderfully different burger! Thanks for sharing.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: May 10, 2007
I have made this before and it it is scrumptious. Hubby and son loved it and ask for it often. It is tender and juicy and the breadcrumb mixture with the garlic and oil is heavenly. Great with fettucine alfredo as a side. Excellent recipe, thanks!

Pasta Pomodoro

Reviewed: May 10, 2007
I found that the Balsamic vinegar gave it a harsh flavour and I didn't use the full 2 tablespoons. I added mushrooms and lots of chicken, some oregano. It was good, but I was expecting something smoother. I will make it again, with my own modifications. It's not unlike my own version, but I would leave the balsamic out next time. Thanks though, it's always interesting to try someone elses ideas!
