About this Cook
I am happiest in my kitchen chopping, stirring and creating yummy dishes for my son and husband. I find it theraputic to get in there and create something I know smells wonderful and will taste awesome. The only thing that will get me out of bed at 3 am is a sick child or a crock pot full of spaghetti bolonegse sauce ready to stir and tweak.
My favorite things to cook
Pasta, turkey, yorkshire pudding and a Prime Rib Roast! That's what Sundays are all about at my house.
My cooking triumphs
A 15 pound turkey for Easter with home made stuffing and all the trimmings. I don't think turkey is just for Christmas or Easter!!!
My cooking tragedies
My Yorkshire puddings that stick because my pans are crappy!!! Enough to make you cry when they are as big as top hats!!

Slow Cooker Jambalaya (Vegan)
How can you call this Jambalaya when it is not authentic? Jambalaya has meat and a few different kinds.... call it a creole soup or something but Jambalaya it is not! Nothing screams Cajun at me in this dish. Sorry.

Bacon for the Family or a Crowd
This is the way we did bacon for our Canadian Thanksgiving for breakfast the next morning. There was 20 of us and the bacon was done in a snap. When cooking for a crowd, this is the only way to go. Oh, but we didn't line the cookie sheet. I didn't know this till now, but it would have been a quicker clean up. Oh and I didn't turn it either but it was a convection oven.. Mmmmmmmm, bacon!!!

Irish Cream Creme Brulee
I made this recipe for Sunday dinner. The flavor was great and everyone loved it. As for the Bailey's taste, it was lost in the dish, nobody cold tell it was in there and I used more than what it called for just so we could taste it. Great Brulee but forget the Bailey's. I followed the recipe exactly but just added more Bailey's. Thanks for a great desert though!!
