Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2007
I added some ginger to the marinade, and used shrimp and pineapple on the kabob's in addition to the chicken. First time I made it I used chicken breast just purchased, second time I defrosted chicken breasts and it was not nearly as good. Really good the first time, and goes well with a glass of chilled Kim Crawford 2006 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2006
Wife and kids liked it, but I felt it needed more taste. Could've been the cut of meat I'd used (eye round). Still I give it four stars for being easy to make.

Broken Thermostat Curry

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2006
Needed a little salt to give it more flavor, but my wife and I enjoyed it. (Kids refused to try it since it had cauliflower in it.) Don't know why it's called "Broken Thermostat Curry" though, since I really couldn't taste the peppers at all. Would be inclined to double-up on the cayenne next time. But a good, healthy recipe.

Juicy, but too sweet and not very flavorful (for my tastes).

Curried Vegetables

Enjoyed it enough to make it twice. Not too spicy and a nice alternative to meat or pasta dish.

Jen's Fresh and Spicy Salsa

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2006
Was not wild about it the day I made it, but it was much better the next day. And definately better than any store bought salsa. Will make it again.

Baingan Bharta (Eggplant Curry)

I'm not a big eggplant fan, could only think of 2 dishes with eggplant in them that I like ... until I tried this. Thanks for sharing! My wife and neighbors love it also.

Cajun Seafood Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2006
Excellent! I used low fat milk instead of whipping cream (thickened with cornstarch in a little of cold water at the end). Used 1 teaspoon of dried basil and 1 teaspoon of dried thyme since I didn't have any fresh basil or thyme. Also only used 1/2 teaspoon of the red pepper flakes. Everyone loved it. Will probably omit the scallops next time. Directions should probably say to turn off heat prior to adding the cheeses so they don't curdle.
