Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2006
These cookies are delicious and cake-like! Every fall - it never fails - when the leaves start turning and the weather gets crisp I start getting requests for these cookies - it's crazy! I make a few slight changes and these cookies turn out PERFECTLY! First of all, I add 3 drops of red food coloring to the 'wet ingredient' mixture (to liven up the pumpkin's orange color). Second, I bake the cookies at 365 degrees for 12 minutes instead of 350 degrees for 10 minutes (which, like others have said is not NEAR enough time to allow the cookies to cook through). And thirdly I place the cookies with a medium sized scoop on a greased cookie sheet, then I slam the cookie sheet down on the table a few times to get them to spread out a little (I find the cook more evenly and also look a lot more attractive). These cookies are served best warm straight from the oven or cold straight from the refridgerator - I wouldn't recommend letting them sit on your counter, even if they are in a covered conatainer - the time I did that they got soggy and melted a little from the heat of our wood stove. =)

I love love LOVE this recipe! I used to fry chicken in nothing but egg, flour and seasoned salt, but now this is the only way to go! :) My husband always requests this chicken. EXCELLENT RECIPE!

Easy Biscuit Mixture

These biscuits came out fine, but they weren't the greatest . . . they were quick and easy to prepare and make, though.

Tuna Casserole III

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2007
I only gave this recipe a 4 because I always have added peas, and think it tastes better with peas in it. :) Overall, a GREAT recipe! I have been making this for years, the recipe was given to me by my father. Great recipe to make with children, also. (They like to crumble the chips, especially).

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
I loved this recipe, although, I used HOT FUDGE instead of caramel. . . It turned out perfectly. I do have to agree with others on here that say it is EXTREMELY rich, as it is, but that just makes me eat less, which is good for my figure! =) All in all, my family loved this recipe and I am actually making it again tonight for a girlfriends birthday - she loves chocolate so I am sure she will love this cake! Thanks for a great recipe!

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2008
This is great fudge! It was a snap to make, too! This was my first attempt EVER at making fudge and I have to tell you, it was SOOO easy! I followed some other reviewers tips and used only 1 TBSP butter and 1 1/4 C sugar instead of what's called for in the original recipe. I took the fudge into work today for our Christmas party and it's ALL GONE! And this recipe made a LOT of fudge! Everyone kept asking "Who made this fudge?" Since I'm only 22 and everyone I work with is 30+ it made me feel good to be a part of the "big girls" cooking group! =) THANKS, AUNT TEEN, FOR A GREAT RECIPE!!!

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
I loved this recipe, and so did my husband! I only did a few things different, per other's reviews. I added 1/2 of a chopped white onion and 1 clove of garlic to the meat mixture. Also, I added 1 can of Cream of Mushroom soup and 1 packet of dry onion soup mix to the sauce mixture and I elimnated the salt all around since the soups have more than enough salt to go around! I added water to thin the sauce out a bit, and also to dillute it since it was a little on the salty side. I doubled the amount of sauce, to accomodate for my mashed potatoes! Also, I seared the patties on the stovetop before transfering them to a foil lined casserole dish and baked them at 400 degrees for 50 minutes (I like my meat WELL done!) - they turned out PERFECTLY - juicy and tender, not dry or rough at all! Thanks for a GREAT recipe!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2010
AMAZING! I added 1 small can of Green Chiles snd used 1 can of pinto and 1 can of red kidney beans, both undrained. Also, I only used 1/2 the amount of salsa and subbed in an 8oz can of diced tomotoes with the juice. Very hearty. This chili is similar to Wendy's chili (which I LOVE)! Thanks for a GREAT recipe!
