Creamy Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
Good, solid recipe and worked well with fresh Hokkaido pumpkin (these type of pumpkins can be eaten with the peel). I added garlic, ginger and sliced cayenne, as others had suggested, and it gave it just the right kick. I'm looking forward to using this recipe as the basis for variations according to the mood my tongue is in!

Zucchini Soup II

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
Awesome recipe! I've tried it now with variations and it just never stops tasting incredible. I've added fresh garlic, I've replaced the celery with a few potatoes. And what a great basis for a love story!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
Perfect! I left the dough in the fridge overnight and when I first tried to work with it it was like a brick, but it soon turned more supple. Next time I will try to dust with sugar instead of flour, as we don't use much icing so a tad sweeter wouldn't hurt.

Peanut Butter Chicken Skewers

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
The sauce in this recipe has allowed me to make the most authentic tasting "Chinese" dish I've ever attempted - I always fail miserably at getting that right Chinese restaurant flavour, but this recipe proved tastier, spicier, less greasy and more eye-appealing than our local restaurant. Thanks for sharing this one!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2006
Excellent recipe - my toddler wanted seconds and my red-meat and potatoes husband couldn't get enough. Followed the recipe, but took others suggestions in adding corn and carrots. Didn't peel the potatoes. I found that the butter/flour/milk ratio for the sauce didn't work for me so I winged it, a little more here and there. Great colors, flavor, tastes even better on 2nd and 3rd day. I made it on a cold rainy day - it felt like our immune systems got a boost that evening!
