I'm a self-taught cook. My mother didn't have the patience for kids in the kitchen, so the closest I ever came to kitchen utensils was when I had to wash and dry them.

Natural and healthy recipes have always interested me. I prefer making things from scratch where I control the ingredients.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Nothing I would care to pass on to the next generation (iceberg lettuce salad slathered in mayo, bland homemade softball-size burgers, UGH!). Oh yeah, I forgot about wallpaper pas...uh, I mean, lima beans. Incidentally, iceberg lettuce has always been banned from my home; it has no reason to exist.

The very first meal I ever made on my own; spaghetti. I couldn't even boil water right; the pasta just burnt up in the pot.
