About this Cook
I discoved my love for cooking a couple of years ago. Ever since, I look forward to any cooking opportunity that comes my way. I am a little obsessive when cooking or baking, trying to make sure that everything is even. My family laughs at me for this, calling me neurotic. Oh well, if that's what it takes for what I make to taste good, then so be it.
My favorite things to cook
I come from an Italian background, so it's not a suprise that I love to cook Italian food. I love the smell of garlic, and I love the taste of it even more. Also, I love to bake. I make anything from muffins to quick loaves to cookies. I find baking to be very relaxing and love how it warms up the kitchen.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite cooking traditions are to make pizza every Saturday night and make pasta every Sunday. When I was little, every Saturday my parents and I would have pizza. One day, we started making our own, and I have continued that tradition ever since. I look forward to the weekend just so I can enjoy the food that brings me back to my childhood.

Red Wine Flavored Beef
This was so easy to make! I loved the flavor the onion soup mix gave to the beef. There is nothing I would do differently. I'll be making this again.

Honey Of An Oatmeal Bread
This was very easy to make and it came out great! I did make one change, however. Instead of using all white flour, I used half white flour and half whole wheat flour. This gave it more fiber and a better, nuttier taste. Also, I don't use bread flour in my bread machine. Unbleached all-purpose flour is good enough for me because if I did have all these different flours, I wouldn't have any room in my cabinets. Although I don't use bread flour, I do add vital wheat gluten, which is available at supermarkets. This gives more volume to loaves and a more bread-like texture. The rule is to add one teaspoon of wheat gluten per cup of flour or one and a half teaspoons per cup of whole grain(or whole wheat)flour. I hope this tip was helpful for those who may be having trouble with the size of their bread loaves as a result of not using bread flour. I will be making this bread again soon!

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken
Delicious! I made this one night after work and I was surprised at how quick and easy it was. Make sure you use the A1 sauce because it really gives it that extra zing. Since I had some sauce left over, I used it on the side as a dipping sauce. Depending on the thickness of the chicken, you may have to grill them a little longer than stated in the recipe.
