Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
I have a very similar recipe to this one. It calls for 1 lb shrimp, fresh ginger, garlic, Tbsp rice wine & I add one can chopped stewed tomatoes. It doesn't really need the honey because the stewed tomatoes give it sweetness. Served with rice this recipe with these additions makes it 5 stars & a wonderful meal for family or guests. You won't have any leftovers !

Cranberry Swirl Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2010
I made cherry cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving because I'm not a big fan of cranberries and I thought it would be a nice compromise for everyone. Then I saw this recipe for cranberry cake. I had about a cup left over and used that. Also added a Tbsp or 2 of Ameretto I had on hand and an extra egg to keep its body. This was great,,,,a recipe I will make often. Thanks so much !

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
This is a recipe I share with friends. If you ever feel like escaping the world, bad news, bills due, hurricanes and other natural disasters...........just make this cake, take it into your bedroom, lock the door, turn on your favorite movie dvd, snuggle into bed with the remote, this cake and a fork. Chocolate lovers..........rejoice !!

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2012
I made this for Thanksgiving because the reviews were so great. I remember candied sweet potatoes as a kid and always loved them. I don't often add them on to my holiday meal because I've never found one to rave about. This was no guests were effusive about the meal but not because of this casserole. It was nice but it is worth it to try another. One day I'll find myself a kid again !

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: May 18, 2014
The problem with this version of the recipe is the addition of the water. One can of mushroom soup and one package of onion mix.....about 3 lb. roast. Cook in slow cooker 8 hours. Great gravy, wonderful meat....tender, tender, tender. Serve with potatoes and vegetables. Wonderful, simple meal .....then give it 5 stars !!
