Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2013
Amazing!!!! This was my first attempt at making whole wheat bread and it came our amazing. My only complaint is not being able to keep my husband out of the kitchen when the bread came out. He devoured 1/2 loaf to himself lol.

Chocolate Chip Meringue Drops

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
My mom used to makes these when I was a little girl. She called them angel clouds, and she omitted the cocoa powder. Here is a tip. Make these at night, and when they are done, turn off the oven and let them sit in the oven over night. The next morning the centers will be perfect. Awesome with a cup of coffee.

Broccoli Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
Made this last night, and it was a hit. I can get my 2 year old to eat broccoli just about always, but surprisingly it's the Chicken I have a hard time getting her to eat. She couldn't finish this fast enough. :-) I added some fresh garlic to the chicken when I cooked it up, and I also added pepper, poultry seasoning, and a cajan spice combo I had to the chicken as well. I added a pinch of salt, pepper, garlic powder (love garlic in our family) and some spike to the brocoli before steaming it. I didn't have any cream of broccoli, so I used cream of mushroom, and we didn't have any bread crumbs, so I decided to crumble up a piece of left over corn bread as a substatute. IT WAS AWESOME!! I would suggest doubling the cheese and I will definetly double the corn bread topping too. :-) It was great! Thank you!!!!!

Stuffed Strawberries

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
AMAZING!!!! These turned out so fabulous. I didn't use a liqueur, just a teaspoon or so of vanilla extract. And instead of cutting the tip and stuffing the berry that way, I hulled out the back where the stem is and then leveled the tip so it had a place to sit flat. Then I filled them up, put some gratted semi sweet chocolate over the top....my husband's eye's rolled back in extacy. :-D

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
SO AMAZING!!! And so easy. :-) I made this last night for my husband and my parents. It was great! I was going to serve a salad with it, but I ran out of time, but then I remembered that I had a bag of fresh veggies that you would use in a stir fry! So I mixed that in with it. It was perfect!! Just what it needed. Thank you so much for sharing this!!

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2009
I have wanted to try this recipe for a while, but I was very hesitant because I just thought...ew...ranch and teriyaki. But I wanted something different for dinner then the normal chicken that I make. First of all...SO EASY!!! This took me very little time to prepare. Second. HOLY COW WAS IT YUMMY!!!! The only thing that I changed was I used real bacon instead of bacon bits because my hubby loves real bacon. I served it with garlic bread and a garden salad. Phenomenal!! I recommend this to everyone. :-D

Blackberry Cobbler II

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2008
It was so hard for me to find a descent Blackberry Cobbler recipe. And then I found this one! AND IT WAS PERFECT!!!! I used frozen berries, because the fresh ones where just too expensive. And I added some cinnomon to the dough, and just a touch more cinnomon to the berrie mix after it started boiling. Also, I didn't have a cast iron skillet, so I just used a saucepan and then I transfered that into an 8x8 glass dish and baked it that way. Turned out perfect. I have been asked to make it for Christmas, and to make a lot more this time. :-) I am so happy w/ this recipe. Thank you so much!

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
EXCELANT!!! I'm 6 months pregnant and had the biggest craving for clam chowder, even though it is July. I did the baccon thing, and then cooked the onions and vegies in the baccon fat, and instead of using water to submerge the vegies, I used clam juice. I also used a full quart of heavy whipping cream. So much better! Though next time I might just use a pint and a half to make it even thicker...and it was pretty think this time. :-) It turned out perfectly!! :-D I served it w/ warm sour dough bread. I was very happy w/ the results. I will be making this often.

EXCELENT!!! My husband and I just finished eating this. It was perfect. :-) I cut it down to just two chicken breasts and I cooked it for 45 min. But I turned the chicken over at 15 min. and brushed some more sauce on it. :-) I served it white rice and steamed brocoli. YUMMY!!!

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
This really turned out yummy. :-) My husband and two younger brothers devoured it. :-D It was great. I made a couple changes though. I did what another reviewer suggested and poured the remaining sauce over the top of the chicken and the sprinkled the top w/ Parmesan Cheese (I didn't have any monteray Jack). It turned out perfect. Very filling. Just a note, after sauteing the chicken, if you notice that the juices still aren't clear, don't worry, because the chicken will finish it's cooking when it is in the oven. Very yummy!

McCormick's Beer Can Chicken

Reviewed: May 20, 2008
Oh my goodness this was so good. :-D I didn't have any beer in a can (we don't drink it that way) so I emptied a root beer can and then filled that up w/ Guinness. I even added a bit of the chicken seasoning to the beer itself. I then rubbed the seasoning EVERYWHERE, including under the skin. I cooked it at 400 degrees for 15 min. per lb. It turned out PERFECT!!!! I have never had chicken this moist in my life. I will definitely make this again and again. I steamed some broccoli and made mashed potatoes to go w/ it. It was a Perfect meal. My husband was in heaven. :-D

Best Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2008
It is definetly a good start. It needs more flavor though. I will try the soy sauce next time and more spices. And I think I might cook the cabage and the carots with the meat at the very end to tenderize it. But they were good. :-)

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
If I could give this 10 stars, I so would. I made this for dinner last night for my fiancé, and it was simply amazing. :-) He absolutely loved it! I used 3 thick cut pork chops. I cut the bread crumbs to 1 cup and I put in a little of a cup of cheese in it. I also added some garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper. I pan fried them for 5 min. on each side, and then I breaded them again. I didn't have an oven safe skillet, so I just transferred them to a glass dish and finished them in the oven. After they were done, I covered the dish w/ foil because I was also making the roasted new potatoes (from this site) and they weren't done yet. After the potatoes were done (about a half an hour) I dished everything up. It was amazing!!! I will be making this again.

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2007
These cookies are awesome!! :-) I made 3 dozon of them, the first dozon I used strawberry jam, the second dozon I used Palmagranite jam, and the third dozon I used raspberry jam. Also added about 1/2 a teaspoon of vanilla extract. The only ones that didn't turn out as good were the palmagranite ones, but it was the jam's fault (my mother in law didn't use enough pectin when making the jam so it was pretty runny) not the dough's fault. And I didn't use the glaze either, becuase they were sweet enough w/ the jam. They are awesome though!!!

Newport Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
This was an amazing recipe. Very easy to follow, and the results were incredible. I tweaked it just a bit. I added some bacon, celery, & carrots. I used 2 cups of cream and 1 cup of 1/2 and 1/2 to make it a bit richer (instead of the suggested 3 cups of ½ and ½). My family loved it and I have been asked to make it for some friends!!
