Hunts® Tomato and Bacon Tortellini

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
This was so good!! I made this last night. Simple recipe that can be thrown together in a matter of minutes. My whole family loved it. The only change I made was using the Italian Cheese and Herb cooking creme from Philadelphia instead of the chive and onion cream cheese.

Chicken and Fresh Tomato Slow Cooker Stew

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2010
I loved this recipe. I cooked it without the potatoes, only because I didn't have any on hand. I also used canned tomatoes because I didn't have any fresh. To spice it up I sprinkled the chicken with lemon pepper, and added some garlic. I also used one can of garlic and oregano canned tomatoes with a no salt added can of tomatoes and a garlic and oregano tomato sauce, with a no salt added tomato sauce. turned out perfect!! Our whole family loved it.

Mom's Paprika Chicken with Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2010
My whole family loved this. I did change it up a little, but it's a great base recipe. I sauteed onions and garlic along with the chicken that I couldn't help but sprinkle with a little bit of lemon pepper. I also took some of the other reviewers advice and cooked the potatoes in the microwave for 4 minutes before throwing them into the chicken pan. I them let all of them cook together with the rest if the ingredients for about 5-10 minutes, and noticed it was looking a little dry, so I added some chicken broth and white wine. I then let it simmer for about 20 more minutes, when it came out it was perfect, and very tasty!!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
My baking usually leaves something to be desired, and I had resigned myself to store bought or premixed cookie recipes, until I tried these :) I made these today out of sheer boredom and they turned out amazing. I followed the recipe to a tee, although I didn't have a mini muffin tin, so I used two regular size muffin tins, and a cookie sheet to make up the difference. Not only did they actually turn out, they taste amazing!!! I know they will be a hit with my hubby, who loves Reese's PBC's and my 5 year old little girl won't stay out of them. I will be making these again, if fact I'm pretty sure I will have to make another batch before Santa comes :)

Simple Creamy Lemon Chicken Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
This is a super good, easy recipe. My daughter is continually asking for chicken and rice, and there's only so many times you can do that before you never want to see chicken again. I have resorted to finding many many ways to make my chicken so everyone in my house is happy. I do have to say that this is one of our favorites. What I do is, cut chicken breasts into bite size pieces and sprinkle with lemon pepper. Then I brown them in a little oil along with diced onion. When the chicken is cooked I add the sauce ingredients (doubling, but we like ours extra saucy) I then let the mixture simmer until it is bubbly and serve it over rice. Thanks for the idea!!!

Baked Lemon-Basil Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2009
This dish was amazing :) I did change it a little, just for the simple fact I didn't have all the ingredients. I left the spinach out all together, and instead if fresh basil I used dried Italian Seasoning. I also doubled the wine, and used more chicken. My four year old loved it. She had two helpings!! We have plenty of leftovers, so we will be sure to be enjoying this for a couple days to come.

Lemon Pepper Chicken and Gravy

Reviewed: May 30, 2008
I really enjoyed this recipe. It was nice and easy, and super good over rice!! I did use canned chicken gravy (2 cans) and replaced the green peppers with onion. I will be making it again.

Chili-Spiced Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: May 14, 2008
My whole family and I really enjoyed this recipe. I'm a sucker for anything spicy, and this really fit the bill!! Although, at the same time, I was able to accommodate my three year old's not so spicy taste by merely scraping off the topping. I did change a couple things, just cause I didn't have exactly what the recipe called for. Instead of using a can of tomatoes I used fresh tomatoes that I chopped up, and I also didn't have fresh jalepeno's so I used canned and I added a can of chopped green chilies and chicken broth to make up for the lack of juice from using fresh tomatoes. I really enjoyed it, and I can promise I will be making it again. Thanks!!

Breaded Hamburgers

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
These were good. A nice change from the plain old hamburger steak that I usually make. I did not have a problem with them coming out soggy, although I did cut my onions pretty thick so the hamburgers were not in the water. Both my 3 year old daughter and my husband loved them. I prepared them pretty much as the recipe shows, except I added about a 1/4 cup of bacon bits to the hamburger mixture. I also made up a batch of brown gravy to serve alongside the steaks. Will be making this again. Thanks

Chicken with Lemon Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2007
I loved this recipe, and so did the rest of my family. I didn't have any apple juice, so I substituted chicken broth mixed with about an 1/8 cup of marsala wine. The wine gave it just the right flavor. My only complaint is I didn't have any leftovers :)
