My cooking triumphs
I served as the camp baker at Young Life's Woodleaf Towne during the summer of 1995. Baking for 500 kids and adults was a lot of work, but great fun!
My cooking tragedies
I didn't figure out until about 6 months after moving out on my own that when cooking on the stove, you didn't always have to use the "HIGH" heat setting. I wondered why everything cooked so fast and usually came out burnt, or boiled over on to the stove. Rookie mistakes!

Glazed Meatloaf II
I LOVE THIS MEATLOAF - and so do my kids!! I fix it as often as I can get away with. The sweet tangy-ness of the glaze compliments the meat really well. Mash up some potatoes, add a hearty vegetable and you have the perfect comfort-food meal.

Baked Beef Stew
A direct quote from my husband - "BEST STEW I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" No kidding. I loved it too because the taste was fantastic and it was SO easy to make! I did substitute 1/4C water mixed with 3T cornstarch because I didn't have any tapioca and it certainly did the trick. This recipe will definitely be a staple meal with our winter comfort foods!
