Slow Cooker Oatmeal

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
My oatmeal turned out AWESOME! I do have to point out that the recipe really works best with steel cut oats and a crock pot that has a "warm" setting. Even low is too hot and causes the crusted on mess. I also advise using a crock pot liner, I always use on whenever I fire up the slow cooker, I hate scrubbing it! I omitted the salt, and used skim milk and added brown sugar/fruit/add ins after it was done.

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
Awesome tea! I was skeptical on the baking soda but it really takes any bitterness away. Adjust sugar to suit taste, as written not as sweet as the tea I am used to.

Hot Artichoke Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2006
Awesome dip, all my friends ask me to make this dip regularly. I skipped the heavy cream once and wasn't as happy with the cream cheese subsitution as others, mine came out really thick delicious but way too thick. I prefer a creamy dip that dosen't break the tortilla chips, so the heavy cream or half and half is the only way to go!

Chocolate Covered Cherries

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2006
Best choc covered cherries! Just like the ones you buy in the store, Freezing the drained cherries and then freezing the fondant wrapped cherries made dipping them sooo easy! I used the Wilton Dark Cocoa candy to dip them in, would be even better (if that is possible) dipped in premium chocolate that is properly tempered.

The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2006
These cookies rock! Just watch the baking time otherwise they will end up under or over done. I made small ones and had cookies for days!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2006
Since this was the 1st Turkey I ever made, I had to give it a 5 star. The Turkey literally fell off the bones, the white meat was not dry and the dark meat was to die for!
