Butter Chickpea Curry

When I tasted the dish after cooking it, it tasted too much like tomato soup...however, after letting it sit for a few hours, it tasted MUCH BETTER! I recommend this recipe, I didn't have enough milk, so along with the tomato soup i added 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup coconut milk. This is also very mild, so if you like spicey, then you may want to add a spoon of chilli too. I am going to use this to make butter chicken as well.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Delicious and so chocolately! I halved the recipe, so used a 9 x 9 pan, it worked great! I also discovered I was short one egg while I was making the recipe...well, even without the extra egg, they turned out really good! I'll be using this recipe again and again. Thanks!

Lemon Square Bars

Good and lemony bars, but just way too sweet. I would reduce the sugar next time to about 1 1/2 cups instead of 2. Also, make sure you either grease your pan REALLY well, or use parchment paper. I cut the bars while they were still a bit warm and I still found it difficut to get them out of the pan. Also,increase your baking time, because 1/2 hour is not enough, bars are still runny. I'd try this recipe again with the changes, it's almost a 5 star recipe.

Mom's Chocolate Cake

This cake was pretty good, I agree with other reviewers, that icing is what really helped give it flavour. I would try it again with more chocolate and maybe replace the coffee with something else. I couldn't taste it anyways. Baking time was closer to 45 minutes and I ended up with 1 round cake and 4 cupcakes! But, it's still nice and moist like other readers said. I'll try it again with some substitutions. I wouldn't say it's the best cake I've had, but it was good.

Cheesy Baked Eggplant

I have made this recipe 3 times this week, twice for a group home and once with my spouse, everyone LOVED it! It tastes like a vegetarian lasagna! I added black olives when I was cooking up the spinach and I also sprinkled a bit of feta cheese on the top. Served with spagetti is DELICIOUS!

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Delicious, moist, and tasty cake! The slight changes I made were margarine instead of butter, light sour cream instead of regular and 1 cup of sweetener + 1 cup of sugar rather than two cups of sugar. This is great with coffee or tea.

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

I cook in a grouphome, and I used this recipe for our "St Patrick's Day" lunch two days in a row. Both the clients and the staff loved it! It has a slight sweetness to it, yet it is moist. It is very easy to make. I will definetly use this recipe again!

Applesauce Cake I

This cake is delicious! A few extra thing I did were: use margarine rather than butter, use sweetener in the recipe rather than sugar, sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar on top of the cake before baking, and drizzled the baked cake with homemade glaze (2 tablespoons of icing sugar and a few drops of water). This cake tastes great heated up!
